UT Permian Basin

Scholar Program
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this grant, a student must:
•Be a 2021 graduate of a Texas ECHS
•Be a Texas resident
•Must complete and submit a Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or Texas Application for
State Financial Aid (TASFA)
•Have been admitted to UTPB for Fall 2021
•Plan to earn a baccalaureate degree from UTPB
•Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4 point scale) for
college hours completed
•Have earned a minimum of 25 college credit hours

Benefits

•The GTF-UT Permian Basin Scholar Scholarship


is a three (3) year award
•Aside from other scholarships/awards, you may
earn up to $2,000 a year
•Ongoing academic and social support
•Meet with mentors/tutors at the Student
Success Center weekly
•Coordinator is available to students anytime
