HOW THE ARTIFACT/EVIDENCE SATISFIES THE

ARTIFACT/EVIDENCE COMPONENT
Lesson/Unit Plans
Daily lesson plans followed familiar structure and included objectives/standards, guided lesson,
partner work, small group intervention, and independent work for students. Units followed
curriculum and built on knowledge from prior lessons.
Lesson Slides
Daily slideshows aligned with lesson plans and helped organize content and guide the lessons. I would
share my screen to display these slides as the lesson was taught. Students also had access to lesson
slides for review and to find assignment directions when working with a partner or independently.
Slides were useful in involving students with the lesson through interactive activities like waterfall
chats, whiteboard review, and modeling.
Small Group Planning and Lists
During partner work times I would usually pull a small group to work with me on the assignment or a
different task with teacher support. I selected students for small group based on observations during
the lesson activities or performance on quizzes and exit tickets.

PROFICIENT
Based on my evidence in this domain I believe that I fall under the category of highly proficient. One
of my goals this year with moving to 5th grade and being departmentalized was to become more
proficient and knowledgeable about lesson planning. I feel that my lesson plans are thorough and
organized well, aligning with both the curriculum and state standards. I feel that my daily lesson slides
help me deliver instruction clearly and with an organized flow. These are also a great support for
teaching online and making materials and directions available to students. I use observations and exit
tickets to identify and support students with small group.
