B. Subsequent operation of a “cross-zoned”

detector.
1. Illumination of “PRE-DISCHARGE” indication on the
 
Clean agent Control Panel.
2. Illumination of Remote Indicator.  
3. Activation of Strobe/Horn (2nd stage alarm)  
4. Circuit actuated to energize 0 – 30 seconds.  
5. System abort operation enabled.  
6. “Alarm” signal has been sent to Main Fire Alarm
 
Control Panel.
7. Illuminated sign “Evacuate Now, Gas Discharge” has
 
been activated.
C. After completion of the pre-set time delay
sequence, check for the following results:
1. Impulse releasing module actuated and the impulse
 
valve operator/solenoid pin is in extended position.
2. Illumination of “RELEASE” indication on the Clean
 
agent Control Panel.
3. Activation of Strobe/Horn located outside protected
 
hazard.
4. Illuminated sign “Gas Released, Do Not Enter” has
 
been activated.
5. “FIRE” signal has been sent to Main Fire Alarm
 
Control Panel.
A. Electrical Activation
1. Activate the Manual Release Station.
Check if it duplicates the “cross-zoned detection
 
sequence” described above except delay, abort function,
pre-discharge indication and alarm bell.
2. Activate the Manual Release Station.
(If motorized smoke damper installed, damper will  
MANUAL closed 1st before gas released.)
OPERATION 3. Illumination of “RELEASE” indication on the Clean
 
agent Control Panel.
4. Activation of Strobe/Horn located outside protected
 
hazard.
5. Illuminated sign “Gas Released, Do Not Enter” has
 
been activated.
6. “FIRE” signal has been sent to Main Fire Alarm
 
Control Panel.

A. Activate the abort switch during the pre-

discharge time delay period and check for the
ABORT following results:
1. Illumination of “ABORT” indication on the Clean
OPERATION  
agent Control Panel.
2. Release of gas is held if abort switch is pressed.  
B. Once released, wait for 30 seconds and check
for the following results:
1. Impulse valve Operator pin is in extended position;
illumination of “RELEASE” indication on the Clean
 
agent Control Panel; and activation of strobe light
located outside the protected hazard.

The system as specified above has been installed and tested, in accordance with latest edition of NFPA, QCDD FSS and QCDD
approved drawings
