A month ago, a friend of yours moved to another city to continue his/her studies.

Write a letter to your friend to check how he/she is doing in the new school.

In your letter you must;

• tell your friend some interesting news about your school

• ask your friend about his/her studies
• request to send some pictures

The pictures above may give you some ideas, and you should try to use some ideas of your
own.

Your letter should be between 150 and 200 words long. Do not write an address.

You will receive up to 10 marks for the content of your letter, and up to 9 marks for the style
and accuracy of your language.
Dear Reem,

Just thought to check up on you because you were pretty much in hysterics the last time I saw you. I
know I promised never to speak of it again, but I think you know your (facetious) best friend can’t
resist cracking a joke or two about it.

Anyway, how’s the City of Angels? Before you reply, gather your wits! Our bothersome principal has
finally retired (hurray). Would you’ve still left this school if he hadn’t kept calling you Ram? Hey,
don’t feel bad. That man is like a million years old and had a memory like a sieve. We feel sort of feel
bittersweet on the news because he’s like a national heritage here. It seems Mr Sam is going to
succeed him (good, eh?)

Enough about our school - how’s the Abigail Adams Academy? I bet the Triple A has every
stereotype crammed into its hall. Most importantly, what about your studies? Have you already
found a study partner of my match? I heard the teachers there are legendary. Tell me more about
them, please!

I’ve to rush now but do send me pictures of every single thing. The city is like a heaven compared to
ours, isn’t it? After all, they wouldn’t name it City of Angels for nothing, would they? Flood my inbox
with snaps of everything you see, I meant everything!

Love,

Cam,
