scaffold.

QUESTIONS FOR THE PROPOSAL/SITE PROFILING
1. WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE AREA? (Name of the Purok or Subdivision and Barangay)
Purok Rosas Pandan, Barangay Banago .
2. WHERE IS THE AREA LOCATED? (Bacolod City, Talisay City, Silay City, etc.)
Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Western Visayas (Region VI) .
3. WHAT IS THE GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CHOSEN AREA?
Bango is a barangay in the city of Bacolod. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 28,217. It is
situated at approximately 10.7088, 122.9553, on the island of Negros. Elevation at these coordinates is
estimated at 6.1 meters or 20.0 feet above mean sea level.
The people living in the community depend on fishing as their main source of livelihood. The area is prone to
floods and typhoons since it is near the coastal line. Most homes near coastal areas are not designed and built
and withstand higher loads and because of that, they are exposed to risk everyday for extreme conditions.
