Essay
We can see how these people integrate music in their lives. Not only a part of their culture but
their very own lifestyle. From marriage, building their own family and until death, music is
present. this is how they connect with each other, through music they are able to feel and express
their emotions that can be about courtship, a special event, rituals or prayers, and even the death
of a loved one. This is how special music is to them. honestly, I am amazed of how great their
musicality is, and how they interpret music and them being able to apply it to their life. they are
not like us who has the knowledge and capability to analyze and apply music theory to the
music we make. Basically they do this rituals and play their music according to how they feel
without even the thought of analyzing each note and rhythm. Them playing without the
knowledge of theory amazes me, They play because they understand the emotion being felt not
because they know music theory. that is how authentic their music is for me. I may not like their
style of music but it inspires me to look at music in a different perspective.
