Reconnecting street vendor
post pandemic
1
Problem Statement
• The street vendors are among the groups that are
worst affected during and after pandemic due to
‘aversion behaviour ’ of people. Aversive behaviours are the
actions people are taking to prevent themselves from being infected with the virus,
such as reduced going out and the government ban on ‘nonessential’ shops, etc
(Shekar, K. Chandra, and Kashif Mansoor. "COVID-19: Lockdown Impact on Informal
Sector in India." Transport 13.86.6 (2020): 13-4.).
• The current scenario of the street services does not
assure safer environment for public health.(2020.
