courses known as The Mosaic.

Step 2 EXPLORATIONS MOSAIC

At least One of the course offerings in the mosaic is an Applied Design & Skills Technology (ADST)
course. These are marked with a ** in the course selection booklet.

The 2021-2022 Mosaic is as follows and students in Grade 8 and 9 will rotate through the mosaic
throughout the year. It will be approximately 7weeks in length and each group begins the mosaic with a
different course.

1 Hip Hop Dance 8 (MDNC-08-HH)

2 Creative Construction for the 21st Century 8- 2D and 3D Art, Printmaking (MVA--08KSA)

3 Junior Video Production 8 ** (MADMA08-VP)

4 Junior Guitar 8 (MMU--08-GR)

5 Junior Foods (MADFS08)

Step 3 If you want to be in the Choir (MMU—08-CHO), please check this box.

This course runs Tuesday and Thursday at lunch or after school on these days.

Step 4 All Grade 8 students will be registered in the following courses:

English 8 MEN--08 Social Studies 8 MSS--08

Science 8 MSC--08 Mathematics 8 MMA--08

French 8 MFR--08 Physical Education & Health 8 MPHE--08

Career Education 8 MCE--08 (this course takes place on Wednesday during the afternoon and is
integrated within the core courses offered throughout the year)

Signed course selection sheets must be brought to the KSA 2021-22 digital selection process on February 25th, 2021.
Please know that students may not get the courses they have asked for if their selection sheets are not brought to the
selection process.
