Calling Interstellar Rescue
The heroes recieve two distress calls at the same
time from identical coordinates. Space Station
Orion reports life support failures and needs
urgent assistance. Starship Kohoutek reports a
collision and power failures.
Arriving on the scene the heroes see Station
Orion listing badly, oxygen leaking from the huge
gash in its side where it collided with the striken
Kohoutek. The station is clearly in more urgent
need of help. Debris is everywhere, making the
approach dangerous. To reach the station the
heroes need to
• Fly past the fields of debris
• Align with the spinning, out of control space
station
• Get past the broken air lock
Space Station Orion is famous for conducting
secret research into priceless Colofire
Regeneration Cells.
Space Station Orion
Aboard the Orion alarms sound and emergency
lights flash. The organised Captain Bronze
contacts the heroes to report that most of the crew
are in the emergency area, but two engineers are
trapped in the hanger bay. To rescue the engineers
the heroes need to
• Get past the crushed doors
because zero gravity has failed
• One of the engineers has a broken leg, he needs
urgent medical care
To restore life support for the Orion the heroes
need to
• Simultaneously seal two emergency bulkheads
• Repair the damaged compression pumps
• Convince Sendra, the station’s confused AI to
cooperate
As lifesupport is restored the heroes encounter
a suspicious crewman in a survival suit heading
toward the secure labs. He claims to be a scientist,
desperate to check on his research. He might even
try and get the heroes to open a door for him,
saying he’s lost his ID cards.
Starship Kohutek
From the Kohoutek the theatrical Captain Palava
makes contact to report a failing reactor core. It’s
going to blow, and the chief engineer was knocked
out in the crash! To make the reactor safe the
heroes need to
• Enter the radiation drenched control room
• Remove the super heavy control rods
• Restart the engine computer
While doing the final reset the heroes uncover
evidence that someone tampered with the system.
The collision was the result of sabotage!
The Plot Revealed
Aboard the Orion the devious master thief Vultrix
(disguised as a crewman) has taken advantage of
the disruption, accessed the secure bio-lab and
seized the priceless Colofire cells. Alarms sound as
Vultrix makes his break for his waiting hi-speed
ship. Can the heroes stop him?
As he tries to escape the Vultrix might
• Blow a hole in a recently repaired bulkhead
• Fire with his laser pistol
• Leap out of an airlock and engage his jetpack
