 Safety and Maintenance Of ATM Machine

Objectives:

• The main objective of the project is to idealize the

necessities of ATM Machines.

• The scope of this project is to ensure the usage of

ATM safely and maintenance of the ATM centre.Also
transactions to be done securely.

•The project includes a sensors,Raspberry Pi,LCD

display,RFID Reader,Blynk App,buzzer and others.

Motivation:
 To design an embedded system which aims to safety measurement of the
ATM Center.

 To develop this project ,which could be compatible and also with low-cost
embedded system which can also overcome the ATM theft easily.

 The motive could also be, operating it using RFID and Raspberry Pi ease
our module ,so as to achieve our objectives.

Introduction:
Automated Teller Machine are targets for fraud, robberies and
other security breaches. In the past, the main purpose of ATMs
was to deliver cash in the form of banknotes, and to debit a
corresponding bank account. However, ATMs are becoming more
complicated, and they now serve numerous functions, thus
becoming a high priority target for robbers and hackers. Today’s
ATMs are implemented with high-security protection
measures.They work under complex systems and networks to
perform transactions.We are dealing with the ATM safety and the
maintenance of ATM center.The way to maintain public place and
help do transactions respectively.

Projects that are currently in the market: 01

 We have existing models such like ATM Transactions using Face
Recognition.

 This module deals with doing transaction only if a face is matched

only ,else can’t transact.

 This module has been implemented in few foreign ATM’s.

Anti-Theft ATM Machine

 This machine was designed for preventing theft using GSM

and Vibration sensor.

 Whenever theft occurs ,then the theif will remain unconscious

due to gas spray release when doors are closed.

Methodology of Existing System :

The main motive behind every existing system is projected to
benefit the society in various aspects.Similarly ,in security for
ATM Machine every system dicsuss about the theft of the
machine and identification of the user.This means if the user is
illegitimate,then that user won’t be having any access to the
machine.And the existing system are also benefitting
somehow in few places.Also if there is a theft in ATM center
then the door automatically closes and be locked until
emergency services are entered into the scene.This methods
are all considered for security purposes differently.

Limitations of Existing System:

It seems limitations are quite found in many devices.In existing system
they are only for security purposes like face recognition,biometrics,anti-
theft,and other.But there is no maintenance of ATM center and not much
interested in it.Also the people often come to rest/nap in centers and
also we can see stray dogs in ATM centers.In face recognition
system,sometimes people with familiar faces matches and robbery takes
place.It is said that the door closes when theft occurs,here first we see
mostly the ATM doors are always open so when will that be closed and
when required action will be taken?Likewise we come across several
limitations and they need to be updated as soon as possible.

Objectives of proposed system:

Objectives are considered to provide society a good environment and
safety of the ATM centers.The main motive is to develop ATM centers
regarding the cleanliness and about the users activities based on certain
reasons.Main factors for proposed system;

 To provide security in case of theft.

 Only legitimate user are given access to ATM.
 Also support the maintenance of ATM centers.
 Notify users about their transactions.
 Notify banks about cash withdrawal issue.
