NARRATIVE REPORT
INCOME GENERATING PROJECT
(BROILER POULTRY PRODUCTION)
(Date of Implementation)

An Income Generating Project entitled “BROILER POULTRY PRODUCTION”

located at (Barangay Address of the Proponent) for the students of Magara Panitian High School,

(District), Palawan Division, parents, and out-of-school youths.

The role of the teacher in a positive school-community relationship is extremely

important since it is the teacher who is the backbone of the educational system. Teachers must

also be prepared to make the most favorable impression possible in even the most innocent of

circumstances in order to maintain public support. The community's perceptions of the teacher

affect their perceptions of the school and subsequently student morale, school resources, and

support for the school in general.

A teacher plays a vital role in community as the suggestion of a teacher or his perception

is very important on any issue of society. Without a teacher community cannot survive although

cannot exist. It is in this connection that I thought of this project as my humble way of helping

the needy and out-of-school youths in the community.

It was conducted at (Barangay Address of the Proponent) from (Date of Implementation).

Students of Magara Panitian High School, and parents benefited. It aimed to provide the students

funds for their school needs and funds for the school as well, to teach school children, out-of-

school youths and parents to use their leisure time wisely and engage in a productive

undertaking, to develop love and application of manual labor and to improve living standards

and to increase the capacity of people to produce goods and services.

 Broiler poultry farming is a lucrative business. Generally highly meat productive birds or

poultry breeds are called broiler poultry. But broiler chicken is a special species of poultry,

which is a great secret. Only four countries of the world know about this secret and they supply

and maintain all the demand of broiler chickens. Broilers are like other common poultry birds.

But this broiler is made in a scientific way for producing more meat in a short time. Basically,

broilers are only for meat production. There is no problem about the marketing of broiler

chicken. It has a great demand throughout the world. Almost all people like to consume it. So,

the farmer should not take any tension about the marketing of broiler chicken.

To do a profitable broiler poultry farming business the farmer must have to be careful

about some fact. In broiler production food cost is high. Food costs become 60-65 percent of

total cost. You should not provide much fat in broiler food. But you have to provide this in warm

weather. Broiler poultry can consume 64 percent of protein from its food. Broiler consumes more

food in winter season than summer. It affected by diseases quickly. So, be careful about the

diseases of poultry.

In our country, poultry raising production is one of the major industries, considered great

demands with regards to the economic stability but perhaps into reality, the problem of food

insufficiency is national concerns in which we are all oblige to do things. Through this proposed

project, we can help and contribute. We cannot remain idle with folded arms doing nothing. As

worthy member of community, and as a teacher, being agent of change and the expected partner

economic and social development, action of the highest degree is imperative. We need to address

the urgency of the problem. The challenge is for us to be more sensitive to problems on hand and

mobilize our efforts and resources if we want to live healthy, happy, and successful life.

Because of economic stability of the Philippines, many school-aged children have been

irregular in classes and have become out-of-school youths. Without the school to go to, they now

have the time to engage in nonsense activities. These students in our neighborhood and to

alleviate economic condition of our locality are the main reasons for the conduct of this IGP.

After 45 days, the proponent sold the Broiler Chickens to raise funds for the students and

parents. The proponent sought for buyers and sold the chickens in live weight. The total sales

were given to the beneficiaries in order augment their income. The Broiler Chickens were sold
from (Date of Disposal of Broilers), for the students and parents. The proponent conducted a

conference with the beneficiaries together with the parents for the financial statement and how

the proceeds will be divided among them. The beneficiaries benefited much from the project.

This project was done 45 days and will go on for the coming years as long as there are

interested clienteles, such as students, out-of-school youths and parents. This “Broiler Poultry

Production” was found supportive to their financial needs. I highly recommend extending the

projects to a nearby barangay wherein there are interested clienteles and encourage other poultry

production to help students, out-of-school youths, and parents in their community to support

them in their financial needs. The government should give appropriate financial support for the

income generating project under management of the barangay which is related to this project.
