THE IMPACT OF WORKING FROM HOME ON THE PRODUCTIVITY AND LIFE

DOMAINS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AMONG THE EDC


EMPLOPLOYEES IN ORMOC CITY, LEYTE

Objectives of the Study

In general, the study aims to examine the impact of working from home (WFH)

arrangement on employee’s productivity and life domains during the Covid-19

pandemic.

Specifically, it aims to:

1. Present the profile of the EDC employees;

2. To understand the perspective and preferences of employee on flexible working

going forward.

3. Understand the impact of the work from home arrangement to the social,

behavioral and physical well-being of the EDC employees;

4. Recommend strategies to the EDC HR management to improve

productivity and well-being of the employees during the Covid-19

pandemic.

Data Collection

The study will use the channel of online survey through google form to gain

access to respondents mostly focusing on employees who currently working from home

of EDC employees in Ormoc City, Leyte. Due to this sampling procedure, although we

have insightful data from a large number of respondents, this study cannot claim that the

data represents the general population of EDC Ormoc Employees.


Data Analysis

For the study, 31 questionnaires will be distributed to minimize the risk against

likely nonresponses and declines and a sample size of 30 respondents was drawn

across different departments. After all respondents’ statement are collected, the

data is processed using the SPSS application to obtain the result. Analyze the

result of the experiences of the employees on their social, behavioral and physical

life. Make a comparison between those with and without children, between men

and women. Also, analyze the preference of the employees when the Covid 19

pandemic will end on working from home set-up.
