I had a special interest in Control system, and used simulation tools like MATLAB to build
electronic circuits, I studied Electrical Machines, Power System and Power Electronics, and
also subjects like Electric Traction and Thermal Power engineering to name a few. Besides,
that I had also read Electronic subjects that were a part of my curriculum like Analog and
Digital Electronics, Electrical Measurement and basic subjects like Circuit Theory and Field
Theory. I undertook a research and a thesis submission on Rotor Position Sensor-Less
Control Scheme of Surface PM Synchronous Motor (SPSM), that was a conceptual
amalgamation of Power Electronics and Control theory.

University of Science and Technology - This course facilitated with an understanding,
to implement patents and the protection of invention and how they are useful in
protecting innovation as well as some of the limitations and costs of patents.
July-August,2020- Introduction to English Common Law by- University of London -
In this course there has been a learning outcome in terms of Constitutional Principles of

the English Legal System, the Court System, Statutes, different case laws, the European
Union, European Convention on Human Rights and Human Rights Act and the most
important Brexit.
May-July,2020- DL-101 GENERAL COURSE ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY,
WIPO- Passed with Distinction with a grade of 97%.- This course build the concepts
and provides a more in-depth view of the fundamentals of IP law, and is considered as
indispensable to pursue more advanced courses of study on specific areas of IP law.
June, 2020- WIPO Summer School on Intellectual Property, Korea- The program
comprised of 30 selected professionals who were provided with lectures, case studies,
simulation exercises and group discussions on selected IP topics, with an orientation
towards the interface between IP and other disciplines.
May-June, 2020- PCT Distance Learning Course, WIPO INTRODUCTION TO THE
PATENT COOPERATION TREATY.
The course provides an introduction and general overview of the Patent Cooperation Treaty
(PCT), an international system that facilitates the acquisition of patents on a global scale.

April, 2020, 4 weeks of study - AI for Everyone, Coursera, Stanford University Grade
Achieved: 96.9%. “AI for Everyone” helped me to understand how to build a sustainable
AI strategy.

January-March, 2020 - Patent Drafting for Beginners, coordinated by Dr. Feroz Ali, the
Chair Professor on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) at the Indian Institute of Technology
(IIT) Madras. NPTEL, IIT Madras, Tamil Nadu, India.
The course enabled me to inculcate patent drafting and draft patent specifications on my
own. The course covered the fundamental principles of patent drafting and discussed in
detail the concepts in patent law in the context of patent drafting. I have learned the
following:-
a) Understand the fundamental concepts in patent law in the context of patent drafting, and
b) Draft patent specifications either for their own inventions or for other inventors.

July-October, 2018- Patent Law for Engineers and Scientists; coordinated by Dr. Feroz
Ali, the Chair Professor on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) at the Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT) Madras. NPTEL, IIT Madras, Tamil Nadu, India.
This course gave an in-depth understanding of patent law to me. This course also helped me
to understand the fundamentals of patent law, know the requirements of patentability, learn
how to read and interpret patent specifications, analyze patent office procedures and court
cases and develop the basic understanding for drafting a patent specification.

This course focused on developing skills to conduct patent search and analysis, develop
practical insights into specific types of patent search, enabled understanding on the techno-
legal aspects of patent search and analysis.

Engineering Training-

August-September, 2016 – XESP (ISO 9001:2008 certified), Certification Course on


Software –Training, Kolkata, West Bengal, India
The training mainly focused on simulating various control system tools to implement
circuits in industries and themes of data analysis, visualization, modeling, and
programming.

June-July, 2016- Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited, under Ministry of
Defence, Government of India, Kolkata, WestBengal, India.

Practical knowledge and experience, visualized in a yard. Worked on PLCs, Automation


(SCADA) and Embedded Systems. A shipyard consisting of a large number of shops in
which various processes of building a ship are carried out.

• In Plate Preparation Shop, a plate is straightened, shot-blasted, painted and cut into
various desired shapes and sizes.
• In Modern Hull Shop, these plates are used to develop blocks/modules of various
dimensions, which when joined forms a ship.
• Ship Building Shop has the added facilities of plate and frame bending which are used in
various parts of the ship.
• There were two yards where ASWC (Anti Submarine Warfare Corvettes) were being
assembled in various stages of completion.
• Quality Assurance department performs various destructive and non-destructive tests are
done to check the quality of materials used, the quality of welders chosen, the quality of
welding done. The Central Planning department procures materials, checks how the
fittings on hull are planned, decides the time of completion of a particular job, strategizes
the coordination of all the activities involved in shipbuilding, etc. The ship after

launching is brought to Fitting Outfit Jetty. Here it is fitted with electrical system,
machinery system and various other outfits that are necessary.
• Detailed Workshop Analysis of Mechanical and Electrical Shops.

December, 2015 – January, 2016 - Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC),


Kolkata, West Bengal, India
• Made reports on consumer data, and develop campaigns for improving online
presence and branding of the organization, which allowed me to attend meetings with
creative agencies, and consultants. Project focused on best case practices in CRM and
CRM analytics with ROI tracking. Also visited a power generation plant at CESC,
Southern Generating Station where the generation of electricity and efficacy of boiler
and smart grid operation were taught to me.
• Through this job experience, I was able to pick up a lot of skills, such as effective
communication, IT and analytical skills, and brush up on my professional business
writing skills, digital marketing and post sales customer services, the use of all digital
media platforms, ROI tracking in corporate advertisements and most importantly
operations management.
