Covid-19 Case Decline Is

Not Automatic
Thursday, 1 October, 2020
The purpose of this slideshow is to
provide feedback on the decline in
COVID-19 cases in the inner wards of
Las Vegas, Nevada.

A more direct form of feedback can be found at

Case Counts Continue To Decline in Wards 1, 3, & 5
The Southern Nevada Health District has a new
weekly summary by municipality page.
Details for Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas,
Mesquite, and North Las Vegas can be found there.
The September 16th report for Las Vegas includes COVID19 Cases for Las
Vegas, 7-Day Moving Average, both a complete history chart and a Table of New
COVID19 Cases and 7-Day Moving Average in Las Vegas, Previous Two Weeks.
The Percent of People Receiving COVID-19 Viral Tests Who Have Positive
Results in Las Vegas is the next chart. Any uptick here is a concern of mine.
Even though COVID19 Hospitalizations for Las
Vegas, 7-Day Moving Average are seen in a decline
now, we know that an increase in infections will work
its way through our population in a predictable
fashion.
COVID-19 cases are not isolated.
Younger people may catch it,
But older people are hospitalized
And die
This is not limited to age demographics.
Case Race/Ethnicity Rates in Las Vegas are also affected.
A similar effect can be seen in Case Birth Sex Rates
