Cleaning the rainwater network:

Manhole maintenance works:
Supplying mechanical equipment, tools and manpower for Carrying out the work of the
maintenance of concrete manholes within the sewage network of Al-Rifai city specified by
the beneficiary, as follows:
- Detecting the damaged in the manholes, fixing and documenting the type of damage.
- Replacement of broken and damaged top concrete covers that cannot be maintained, with
the same dimensions and measurements of the damaged covers, and with the same
specifications approved in the new construction.
- Replace the damaged iron covers with similar tested and examined covers according to
the specifications followed at the General Directorate of Sewage.
- Casting the damaged and missing parts of the manhole walls, the price including cleaning
the reinforcement steel , replacing the damaged one and connecting it to the old
reinforcement according to the technical specifications, using a binder material between
the current and the new concrete, and using concrete of 25 MPa at 28 days.
- Treating the corroded walls with Recon Mc40 or any similar material in terms of
composition and results after removing the visible rust from the steel bars and cleaning the
concrete surfaces at the treatment areas, the price including everything required for the
work and putting all warning signs such as tapes and warning panels and an indication of
the type of work with The use of all appropriate safety equipment for the workers and
according to the directions of the supervising engineer, and the specifications and checks
of all the repaired and replaced items shall be with the same specifications of the new
manholes and according to the type of manhole.

Maintenance work of rain water catch basins (Storm gullies):
Supplying mechanical equipment, tools and manpower for carrying out the work of the
maintenance of rain water catch basins in the sewage network of Al-Rifai city specified by
the beneficiary, as follows:
- Detecting the damaged in the manholes, fixing and documenting the type of damage.
- Casting the broken and missing parts of the collage walls, including the price, the use of a
binder between the current and the new concrete, and the use of concrete with a resistance
of 25 MPa with a life of 28 days.
- Casting the damaged and missing parts of the basins walls, the price including cleaning
the steel bars , replacing the damaged one and connecting it to the old reinforcement
according to the technical specifications, using a binder material between the current and
the new concrete, and using concrete of 25 MPa at 28 days.
- Treating corroded walls with Recon Mc40 or any similar material in terms of
composition and results after removing the rust from the steel bars if it is visible, and
cleaning the concrete surfaces at the treatment areas,
- Replace the damaged iron cover with similar tested and examined covers according to the
specifications followed by the beneficiary directory.
The price including treating the damage in the connected pipes to the manholes if existed
and returning it as before and everything required for the work and putting all warning
signs such as tapes and warning panels and an indication of the type of work with The use

supervising engineer, and the specifications and checks of all the repaired and replaced
items shall be with the same specifications of the new construction.
Construction the Concrete manholes
Preparing the materials, equipment’s, and tools needed to construct a reinforced concrete
manholes type C25 and completing all required works in accordance to the drawings,
technical specifications and instructions of the residence Engineer to the type listed below
constructed on the existed sewer lines which indicated by beneficiary office, as follow:
 Excavation of trench needed for installing the constructed manholes in according to the
depths and elevation decided by the official office depending on the elevation of sewer
line. This item includes all shoring, dewatering works and support of the soil and
preventing it from collapsing, and the lifting of the excavation waste away from the site.
- Leveling the excavation bed, removing the weak soil, supplying and installing a layer of
gravel or bolder with 40 cm thickness for non-stabilized soil.
- Supply and install a bed layer of Sub-base, with 20 cm thickness with well compaction
below the manhole bottom.
- Pre-cast the bottom base of concrete manholes with specifications and dimensions
according to the drawings. This item includes all works needed for proper connections
between inlet and outlet pipelines with proper slopes. And making channel in the base of
manhole.
- Pre-cast the walls of manholes according to the specifications and dimensions in the
drawings using the required frame prepared for this purpose.
- External coating using a bitumen layer and internal insulation with 3 layers of Epoxy
after filling all connections and holes with salt-resistant concrete having (3:1.5:1).
- Supply and install of steps (ladder) of galvanized steel formed in U shaper according to
the directions of the supervising engineer and specifications if needed.
- Backfilling the manhole trench using clean soil in 25 cm layers. Each backfilling layer
should be compacted properly.
- Supply and install cast iron cover circular (heavy duty type) including all works needed
to install the cover on the manhole.
- Lift and transfer all construction debris outside the work site. mixing percentage of
(3:1.5:1).

preparation of all needed materials and equipment, and performing all required works for
the implementation and installation of rainfall catch basins (Gullies) in accordance to the
drawings and technical specifications as follows:
- Cutting of pavement or concrete if any
- Trench excavation to the required levels taking into account all needed works for leveling
the excavation site. This item includes all shoring and dewatering works if required.
- Install well compacted bed layer from sub-base with thickness of 15-20 cm and 40 cm of
bolder for non-stabilized soil.
- Pouring of salt-resistant plain concrete according to the drawings for the ottom base and
walls of basin.
- Supply and install precast inspection chamber with dimension (40 * 60 cm) and 80 cm
depth. The item includes connecting the chamber to the manhole in the network.
- External coating using bitumen with 3 layers and internal insulation using epoxy after
closing all openings tightly.
- connection to the manhole using 250 mm PVC pipe with slope not less than 1% and all
required for connection works
- Backfilling the manhole trench using clean soil in 25 cm layers. Each backfilling layer
should be compacted properly.
- Supply and install rectangular cast iron cover (40 * 60 cm) (heavy duty type). This item
includes all works needed to install the cover on the inspection chamber.
- Lift and transfer all construction debris outside the work site.
