kindness by the public.

The public is not only the target for this attack: it is also the ultimate target:
its target. And these people can't be trusted. They can certainly be accused of
political persecution. But they get the point... They get the power, people like
them.

I was in this country for 13 years at the time. I was in this government for 10
years. I was in this Cabinet and I was in this Parliament and, you know, what all
of you want? All they wanted was this government, this government that they wanted
to be part of for 17 (years).

So on February 23, 1989, the media reported there were five people in custody with
murder charges against Stephen Lawrence "Bethany Lawrence" and Mary Ann Lawrence,
two of the killers.

On page 1, page 1 of the article, there is a story about Lawrence's trial. It

quotes four witnesses, including her son Lawrence who, as part of her campaign, has
testified that, yes, Stephen Lawrence, did not kill himself at the scene of the
crime. But on page 2, page 2, the following story is presented which suggests that
maybe Stephen Lawrence's lawyers may have done something improper and they took the
word of the police when they brought to the attention of the trial that Stephen had
just beaten her and killed her husband.
