Dear Families:
Let me take this opportunity to welcome all the new families in and around the community and
its environs. I would like to introduce myself to you and what Tiny Tots Childcare Facility offers.
My name is Rhona Henry Tappin and I am a graduate from the Medicine Hat College. I
completed my level three (3) diploma course in Early Learning and Childcare and I graduated
with first-class honors. I have ten (10) years of active service and experience in this career. At the
Tiny Tots Childcare Facility, I have eight (8) eight trained certified, and competent educators on
staff. The facility also has a full-time nurse to assist with injuries incidents among other things
within her line of profession. The facility is open seven (7) days per week and on holidays if
necessary. As customary, we will inform all the families two weeks prior the week of the holiday.
At Tiny Tots, we know the importance of your job as well as getting to your job on time. We also
know some of the challenges you may face in getting your little one’s ready for drop off.
Therefore, with those considerations among other things we have changed our operating hours
At the Tiny Tots Childcare Facility, we provide a breakfast feeding program for all our early
risers. We implemented this program to ease the early morning rush for our families. With this
program, we ask each family to provide us with a list of their child’s likes and dislikes. Our
facility is a multicultural establishment and our standards are high on inclusiveness. A section of
our mission statement dictates that, “Every child must see themselves within our facility” and we
live by this standard. Thus, we were intentional in creating a facility that would make every child
feel at home away from home. The facility was designed for children to create and advertise their
own traditional and cultural art pieces and be placed on display. Our reading corner is also
stocked with a plethora of multicultural books, flags, posters, photographs, and a world map.
This will allow each child to see an image of themselves within the establishment as well as
them feeling welcome. In addition, we are committed to continuing to prepare traditional meals
for our children once per week. At Tiny Tots, we cater to the whole child and pay keen attention
to their interests and needs. Our curriculum blends well for special needs children and so no one
is being left out. We allow our children to discover on their own as well as to experience,
explore, and draw their own conclusion. We encourage collaborative play, as our children learn
I am also pleased to advise you that our families have several modes of direct and real-time
communication to their disposal. These technologies can be used to communicate with me and
the other educators to create partnerships. We know you want to see your little ones in action
while being at your jobs. Therefore, our newest form of technology on the list would be our
website. This is where the uploading of pictures of our child and activities in progress can be
observed. This allows for parents’ feedback and interaction with their child instantaneously. We
want to harness your participation, your opinion, and your involvement with your child while
they are in our care because we count them valuable. I would also like to inform you that we do
have a suggestion box at the entrance of the facility that our families can utilize for those who
choose to communicate that way. Should you need any clarification on any other matter about
Tiny Tots Childcare Facility I can be contacted at (403) 9999-000. Also, my personal email
Yours Truly,
Chairman
