Woman 1: sorry, I didn’t return your call yesterday

Woman 2: What happened?

Woman 1: I am ashamed to say, i just got so busy, I didn’t notice the time

Woman 2: Don’t worry that can happen to anyone

Woman 1: Well, if I made a note stuck it in my computer screen, I would

remember.

B Read the three summaries and write a checkmark next to the one that’s true.

F 1 The woman forgot to return her friend’s call yesterday because she got very
busy. Her friend says she should have stuck a note on her computer to
remind her.

V 2 The woman forgot to call her friend back yesterday because she was very
busy. She says that if she had made a note and put it on her computer
screen, she’d have remembered.

F 3 The woman apologizes to her friend because she forgot to return her call. She
says next time she’ll make a note and stick it on her computer screen to
