3. Definition of Terms
 Production- can be explained as an act of either manufacturing or
growing of goods generally in bulk for trade
 Plan- a detailed proposal for doing or achieving something.
 Manufacture- the making of articles on a large scale using machinery.
4. Lesson Proper
Mass production is the term used to describe the manufacture,
usually by machines, of products in large quantities. When a type of
product, such as a toy, is mass-produced, each example of the product is
made exactly the same, with the same parts and materials, using the same
methods. Automobiles, household appliances, clothing, and shoes are just
a few examples of mass-produced goods.
The goods are relatively low priced and are produced by the use of
machines and semi-skilled and unskilled labor.
Advantages of Mass Production:
 Labor cost are usually lower
 Materials can be purchased in large quantities, so they are often
cheaper
 Large number of goods are produced
Disadvantages of mass Production:
 Machinery is very expensive to buy
 If one part of the line breaks, the whole production process will
have to stop until it is repaired
Examples of Mass Production:

Part of the Project Plan:

 Name of Project
 Objectives
 Drawing of a Project/Product for mass production
 List of Materials Use
 Tools Needed
 Procedure of Steps in making a Project/product
 Evaluation/Grading
5. Application
Each student will make their own project plan for mass production for
their project/product.

C. Generalization
(The teacher will call two students to highlight the lesson for the day)
The student will conclude that for planning in mass production or new product, it
must have a pattern, label and coding.

D. Evaluation (Short quiz)

Give 3 Advantages of Mass Production:
1.
2.
3.
Give 2 Disadvantages of Mass Production:
