(Week Five)

On 7th March 2021, it was my third observation with my mentor school teacher, I continue teaching
the storybook of Lubna and Pebble. I made an activity for them to review the events in the story. I
created it in Nearpod. At the end of the lesson, my mentor school teacher gave me feedback. In
general, it was good feedback but there are a few areas that need to develop in my teaching, such as
I should keep the learners talk more and the teacher speaks less. The reason is, we should keep the
students practice their speaking skills. The picture showed that the participation of the students and
the result of Nearpod.
On 8th March 2021, the learners were practicing the writing skills. Ms. Estelle, share the link of Padlet to
ask the students if you had to leave in a hurry, what 6 things would you want to take with you? After
that, the pupils start to write their 6 things in the Padlet. Some students are saying their answers, this is
a good way to practice in speaking and discuss their answer as a whole class.
On 11th March 2021, Ain Jaloot school sends a Telegram for all students to finish the SWIFT exam, it is a
very short exam of about five minutes. It is called a QIMMA exam. It is including an English and Arabic
test. There is an instruction to guide the learners to do this short exam.
My mentor school teacher guides them on how to find the test,
they faced some misconception. But after that Reem Mohammed from the 4E section helped her
classmates to shows them how can they get it.

This exam is for grades 3, 4, and 5.
