VALIDATION MEETING REPORT FOR MUYUKA HEALTH DISTRICT FOR SEPTEMBER 2020
QUANTITIES AND HIV USER FEES

The validation meeting of Muyuka HD Quantity and HIV User Fees productions for
September 2020 Organized by the District Health Service Muyuka, at the District Health Service
Muyuka. The meeting started at about 8 :30 am with a Word of prayer from CBAF/ASP. Next
we had an open remark from the DMO, who welcome every participant most especially the
Representative from the RDPH for taking out time to come for this Q3 2020 end of Quarter
validation meeting.
The rapporteurs and time keeper of the day were appointed, followed by reading of minutes of
last validation meeting and adoption by all.
Reading of the minutes of the last validation meeting was done to the hearing of all participants.
The representative from the RDPH raised a point concerning the level of realisation of the
Planned indices tool training by the District for health facilities in Muyuka District. The CBAF
said as concern the training they planned a day for that but due to the insecurity atmosphere the
meeting could not hold and the District team is still to plan a day for that activity to be effective.
Other matters discussed by the validation committee includes;
 Issues raised concerning the Quality assessment scores of the MPA facilities presented by
the CBH. The Deputy Manager was so concern about the follow up of planned recommendations
by health facilities as a result of their previous Quality assessments. The CBH said that they
District team usually give feasible recommendations to health facility, Recommendations which
are attainable by the health facility assessed.
 Upon the presentation done by the community Verificator, a question was asked by a
participant that why is it that Bafia IHC having the highest score for Community feedback and
what does it takes to improve on the Community scores of health facilities. The community
verificator explained some of the key factors involved in community verification and also some
challenges faced by CBOs in the field due to vague addresses and sometimes wrong addresses of
patients.

 PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF Q3 2020 QUALITY ASSSESMENT
 Quality assessment scores for MPA were presented by the CBH while that of the CPA was
presented by Madam Sarah from the SWRDPH
 QA was done in all 4MPA facilities by the District and 1CPA which is District hospital
Muyuka was done by the RDPH.
 CMA Ekona had the highest score of 77.45%.
 MPA health facilities did not perform well on some indicators such as; the General indicator,
Community PBF, Vaccination. While in indicators such Minor Surgery, maternity, tracer
drug health facilities could score 100%.
 For CPA the scores were presented progressively from Q1 2019 to Q3 2020 and the Trend
showed that the hospital has been progressing from Q1 2019 to Q3 2020 with a present QA
score of 83%.
 PRESENTATION OF COMMUNITY SCORES AND INDEX TOOL.
This presentation was done by the community verificator, he started by appreciating all health
facilities that submit index tool for all the 3months and encourages them to keep up.
 District hospital had the highest indices tool score of 85% while Calvary had the
lowest of 55.7%. the District score for the quarter was 40.9%
 Community verification was done in all 5HF sampled for Q3 2020.
 Bafia IHC had the highest Community score of 97.10% while CMA Ekona had the lowest
score of 68.60%.
 The district score for community Q3 2020 was 80.04%
PRESENTATION OF QUANTITIES PRODUCED IN SEPTEMBER 2020
Presentation of quantities was the next on the agenda which was done by the medical
Verificator.
Verification was done in 3HF out of the 4HF Contracted in Muyuka HD 1CPA and
2MPA
Ekona CMA had the highest MPA production of 437,966fcfa. With equity bonus
inclusive. While Calvary HS had the lowest MPA production of 203,198 frs with equity
bonus inclusive.
MPA Production validated for September 2020 was 596,154 Frs
The CPA Production validated was 3,579,828frs
The over all Production Validated for Muyuka HD for September 2020 was 4,175,982frs.

PRESENTATION OF HIV USER FEES INDICATORS
 Verification was done in 2HF in Muyuka HD.
 Muyuka District Hospital had the highest MPA production of 131600frs
 The total validated for September 2020 for Muyuka HD was 151,400frs
I. BILL GENERATION, VALIDATION AND CHALLENGES FACED IN THE PORTAL
 The bill generated by the portal was validated by the committee. No major challenges were faced, the bill was printed and signed by the CDVA
and District team.
 All bills for HIV User fees were generarted and signed.
II. GENERAL RECOMMENDATION AND RESOLUTIONS
 Atleast 2persons should be involve in the Process of quantity Decleration in each unit to minimize Margin errors
 Training of health facilities on the index tool should be done by the DHS and the CDVA community Verificator latest the last week of Novermber
2020.

Upon closing remark DMO started by appreciating the efforts of health facilities and special thanks to the CDVA team for their follow up and concern and wish
everyone a safe Journey back home.
