You are working for a start-up media production company


producing series of short films and adverts on topical subjects.
You’ve been given the task of researching and writing an entry
on working to a brief for a guide
Vocational Scenario or to working in the creative media sector. Produce a clear Article
Context outlining the structures and types of brief used in the media
industry and how to access them. Your report should be able to
reference industry sources and illustrate examples from industry
and /or your own experience of completing different types of
brief.

Describe and illustrate the 4 types of Brief used in the media


industry including: Tender, Contract, Commission and
Competitions. Use a researched example of each type of
Task 1 Professional Brief You can also illustrate from or cross-
reference to your own project work and your own experience
and learning from working to a brief.

Checklist of evidence Each Type of Brief is explained and illustrated where possible List
