You can use time phrases to give your

story a sense of chronology:
Number: How many people are there? - What are the people doing?
Characters: Who are they? - What else is happening?

Age: How old are they? (Use the Present Continuous)

Company: Who is with them? - What was the cause?

Appearance: What do they look like? - What is the effect?

Place Feelings: What are they feeling? - Why was this picture taken?

Adjectives: young, old, big, dark, afraid, early, small,
Time fantastic, bad, interesting, lovely, usual, boring,
- Is it present, past or future? relaxed, clean, busy, fast, funny, dangerous...
- What season is it? Adverbs: quickly, slowly, happily, fast, hard, well,
- What part of the day is it? mostly, luckily, badly, absolutely, very, really, much,
- What’s the time? only, (not) so, every, a bit, more, less, surprisingly...
- How can you tell? Verbs: come, go, wait, talk, think, decide, look, smile,
surprise, touch, see, feel, hear, order, plan, try,
enjoy, shout, watch, beg, say, push, clean, open...

When you don’t know what to say, buy yourself time and
