1. The localized curriculum must have local information and local materials.
2. The examples used in lessons start with those in the locality.
3. Names, situations, setting needed to give context to test questions or problem-
solving exercises are those of the immediate community.
4. Local materials are used as often as possible in making instructional materials.
5. Local stories are used in the language areas.
6. Translating a story written in another language to the language of one’s
learners for use in MTB-MLE.
