Central Objective/Goal:
At the end of the 9 - week “Virtual” Pediatrics rotation, I, the student nurse will be able to
acquire new knowledge from the lectures and ward classes about the concepts of the Pediatrics
rotation, execute newly gained skills, & adjust my attitude in the practice of my related learning
experience (soon, if already permitted). With these, I will be able to improve my clinical
competence in relation to Patricia Benner’s theory and be a better student nurse in the making.
Specific Objectives:
At the end of the 9 - week “Virtual” Pediatric rotation, I, the student nurse will be able to:
OBJECTIVES STRATEGIES
1. Practice punctuality by  Wake up early and prepare early for the class/duty
being able to go early  Checking for updates earlier than the start of class @ SOUL
before our scheduled time  Being at the virtual classroom (Google Meet) for ward class
for online classes; at least 10 minutes before it starts
2. Work on and pass my  Hopefully never cramming these paper works in just a span
paper works (NCP, of a few hours
outlines, handouts, etc.)  Having effective time management and multi-tasking skills if
satisfactorily in the given the need arises

3. Be more aware and  Incorporating the knowledge and skills acquired from our
knowledgeable of the lectures/leclab/skills lab/ward classes
concepts, skills, and  Recalling the concepts and skills learned from Level I and II;
updates of what is applying it to the possible scenarios given for our ward
involved in this rotation; classes/NCP making
and  Researching more on the recent updates regarding the
management of patients in the Pediatrics Ward depending on
the different conditions that can possibly be dealt.
4. Continuously adapt to the  Reassuring oneself that even though we are far away from
changes in the RLE due each other, we can still learn, connect, reach, and build
to it being virtual since rapport for each other in the CI group, in which these three
last sem. will also be applicable to our face-to-face duties soon in
dealing with our patients and building relationships with the
other personnel in the hospital.
