Using Isometric Guides

You can draw objects in the Isometric Projection using Isometric Guides.

Creating Isometric Guides

1. Choose Layout | Grids and Guides | Create Isometric Guides.


2. Set a value of the Sides of Rhombus and the Guides Color.
3. Click OK. "Iso-Guides Layer*" will be created on the top of all layers in the specified guides color.

Deleting Isometric Guides

1. Choose Layout | Document Layout to open the Document Layout palette.


2. Unlock the Iso-Guides Layer.
3. Drag the Iso-Guides Layer to the Trash Can icon.

Note:

Iso-Guides Layer is locked by default to prevent from accidental move of the guidelines. You can add regular guides to
that layer after unlocking the layer if necessary.
When an Iso-Guide Layer is created, you cannot add regular guides to a regular Guides Layer by dragging a guidelne
from the Rulers. But you can add it by selecting the Add Guide Layer from the Document Layout palette menu.
You can add more than one Iso-Guides Layers like regular Guides Layers, but you can activate only one guide layer
regardless of Guides Layer types.
When there are more than one Guides layers, you select one of the Guides Layers in the Document Layout palette.
Active Guides Layer will have "*" at the end of its name as an indicator.
Whe you show or hide Guides in the Properties bar, it will apply to the active layer.
You can change the guides color of Iso-Guides layer by changing the color of Color Override in the Document Layout
palette.
