Rationale

One of the programs that the Government through the Department of Education is so
passionate about is the structuring of development programs and projects based on analyses
of gender relationships or gender and development.
Gender and Development (GAD) is concerned with women and her specific roles,
responsibilities and expectations in the society. It also analyzes the nature of women's
contribution within the context of work done both inside and outside the household and
reflects the public/private dichotomy that undervalues the work done by women in the home.
GAD focuses on the principle that development is for all. Everyone in society, female
or male, has the right to equal opportunities to achieve a full and satisfying life.
To ensure Gender and Development (GAD) Program mainstreaming in the Schools of
Gandara I District, this office through the District GAD Coordinator shall conduct a Face to
face Re-echo with Schools GAD Coordinators to insure 100% submission of GAD reports.

The activity aims to:

1. Present the 2021 GAD PLANs and Budget;
2. Orient District GAD Coordinators on the updated templates to be used for the
Quarterly District GAD Reports;
3. Present gender related issues in times of pandemic;
4. Plan for the Women’s month Celebration; and
5. Discuss other matters that may arise.

Participants

The participants of this activity are 33 Schools GAD Coordinator of Gandara I

District.

Venue and Schedule

The activity will be conduct this March 11, 2021 at Gabaldon bldg.. Gandara I
District, Gandara Samar.
Proposed Speaker

The proposed speaker is the District GAD Coordinator

Participants

1 District In-charge, 1 Central School Principal and 33 School GAD Coordinators.

Proposed Budget

The expenses incurred related to this activity shall be charge against school
MOOE/school fund subject to the usual accounting rules and regulations.
