Analysis About The Relevance of TPACK in Teaching and Learning Process
This TPACK could be divided into six domains based on the video, namely:
Technological Knowledge (TK), Pedagological Knowledge (PK), Content
Knowledge (CK), Pedagological Content Knowledge (PCK), Technological
Content Knowledge TCK), and the Technological Pedagological Knowledge
(TPK).
TK- refers to the tools; how to technology is used to select, utilize, and
integrate technology; and is not just focused about devices but of content also
through applications, website and games.
TCK- refers to how technology is used in a subject area for deep and lasting
learning.
And when these six domains were integrated it is now the formation of the
TPACK which refers to the understanding of how tools can advance the teaching
of the professor/ teacher and support the students’ learning more deeply and
effectively.
The advancements that the technology have brought to all of us play a huge
role in today’s living since we could make better use of it in order to gain more and
efficient insights and knowledge about a certain topics that the teacher will be
discussing. This TPACK could be applied by the teachers to their students and also
to their work field. The dissemination of lessons and activities to students is now
easier through online platforms and the students can also make use of online media
to refer and find guide to the lessons.
All I could say is that TPACK, if utilized properly by the professor once
chosen his/ her best domain, the success in teaching will be done. It is a success for
both the teachers and the students. It is all about the advancements where
education is trying to adapt and cope. It does not mean that technology is now the
center of learning, it is just a help or another method to make education more
advanced and reasonable.
