This checklist is designed to help you determine what perks and benefits you may want to offer your
employees. According to SCORE, four out of five employees prefer more perks or benefits to a pay raise*,
which is helpful since pay raises aren’t really in vogue right now.**

How to use this checklist:


1. Make notes before you dive into on areas you and your team want to impact the
company. What are your goals for this year or next? What are employees asking for?
What aligns with your values and makes the most sense?
2. Start going through the checklist with the categories that most closely match your
goals: supplemental health, home and family, financial wellness, company culture, or
wellness.
3. Check if you offer the listed perks or benefits. If you do, consider if participation is
at the level you desire. If you don’t offer a benefit or perk, consider what the impact
could be if marketed appropriately to your employee population.
4. Review the checklist and look at our recommendations for a simple plan you can
begin to execute.

Notes on our scoring:


Ease of Installation is determined by evaluating the following: the contracting process, the selection of
product and providers, involvement of payroll slots and file feeds, time needed, planning, internal buy-in,
company policies, promotion, and ongoing maintenance.
Scoring is as follows:
1 – Very Easy 2 – Comparatively Easy 3 – Average
4 – Comparatively Challenging 5 – Challenging
Anticipated Impact on Organization is scored as follows:
Low – 10% or fewer of employees would take advantage of the offering.
Medium – Between 10% and 35% of employees would take advantage of the offering.
High – 35% or more employees would take advantage of the offering.
