Philosophy

The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA believes and invokes Divine Guidance
in the betterment of the quality of life through national development and transformation,
which are predicated upon the quality of education of its people. Towards this end, the
Institution is committed to the ideals of teaching, community service and research as it
nurtures the value of “Helpers of God”, with “Character Building is Nation Building” as its
guiding principle.

 National development and transformation is the govt’s aspirations for the country
and for its people. From being a third world country, the Philippines aspire one of
the New Developing Country.

 Quality education is the best possible kind of education and service that a
learning institution can deliver to its clientele. The University sees this as an
indispensable tool in doing is a share for national development and
transformation.

 Research, teaching and community involvement are the three basic functions of
a university. These three are independent and interrelated. Research is the
external well-spring of information as its provides life to teaching as an eternal
source of new, fresh and developing knowledge

 Teaching bridge research and the students in the formal school setting.
Community involvement mirrors the quality of research and teaching that
transpired of the University.

 The University adheres to these functions and uses these as means of delivering
the highest possible quality of education it can give its students.
 “Character building is nation building”
Thus statement equates nation building with character building.

 Development of character follows the following process:

1. Acquiring the necessary knowledge.

2. Determining what is right and what is wrong.

3. Doing what is right and avoiding what is wrong.

Vision

The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA shall emerge as a premier university in
the Philippines. It shall provide a venue for the pursuit of excellence in academics,
technology and research through local and international linkages.

The University shall take the role of a catalyst for human development. It shall inculcate
Christian values and Catholic doctrine, as a way of strengthening the moral fiber of the
Filipino, a people who are “Helpers of God”, proud of their race and prepared for the
exemplary global participation in the sciences, arts, humanities, sports and business.

It foresees the Filipino people enjoying a quality of life in abundance, living in peace and
building a nation that the next generation will nourish, cherish and value.

The UNIVERSITY OF PERPETUAL HELP SYSTEM DALTA is dedicated to the


development of the Filipino as a leader. It aims to graduate dynamic students who are
physically, intellectually, socially and spiritually committed to the achievement of the
highest quality of life.

As a system of Service in health and in education, it is dedicated to the formation of


Christ-centered, service-oriented and research-driven individuals with great social
concern and commitment to the delivery of quality education and health care.

It shall produce Perpetualites as “Helpers of God” – a vital ingredient to nation building.

 It serves as a foundation of everything that the University does.

 Is something that the University aspires for.


 Vision has a nature of an adjective.
 This objective is something ideal, fantastic, outstanding, marvellous and dazzling
to be achieved sometime in the future.

MISSION

 Is something that the University should do to realize its Vision.

 Philosophy is the foundation of Vision and Mission. V & M should always be


consistent and should never contradict P.
 Vision is Philosophy expressed in terms of futuristic goals and objectives.
 Mission is Philosophy expressed in terms of strategies as it strives to reach out
