The Anglo-Saxon Period
The word 'Anglo-Saxon' has traditionally been used to denote any member of the
Germanic people who, from the 5th century to the time of the Norman Conquest
(1066), occupied and controlled lands that are now part of England and Wales. It
applies to migrants from the German regions of Angeln and Saxony who migrated
to Britain after the fall of the Western Roman Empire around AD 410.
The Anglo-Saxon era lasted a little more than six centuries, from 410 to 1066.
Their reign came to an end in 1066 with the defeat of King Harold in the hands of
William II, Duke of Normandy in the Battle of Hastings in October 1066.
The literature of this period was oral in nature and largely portrayed the lifestyle
and society of that time. Literature dealt with themes such as war, conquest,
heroism, adventure, temporariness of life, exile, loss, transition from Paganism to
Christianity, etc. And the two prominent genres were epic and elegy. Anglo-Saxon
literature is also significant for historical studies, as the chronology of early
English history has been preserved within it.
As a part of the continuous assessment of the course ENG4225 (Introduction to
Old & Middle English Literature) & ENG258 (Old & Middle English Literature) in
the semester- Fall-2020, we participated in a competition of creative performances
which included writing, painting, visual and audio presentations, etc. The main
focus was to depict the Anglo-Saxon period from our perspectives. All of us tried
to give our best and contributed to this magazine which is a visual outcome of our
performances. We have included the majority of the performances except a few
for technical issues. We hope you will enjoy our creative hunch and consider our
faults with compassion. Your comments and suggestions will be inspirations for
our future endeavors.

I suffer and learn
Be honest, Be good
He demands humanity from us
Where is my destination if someone asks
Wise I am now
I know my end is to go there,
To go there, Heaven
(Verse 1)
Life is full of sorrow
Here I am alone in the sea
From winter to spring, The only and one
Solitary one here is, with cold and sadness
All I hear is birds’ lament
Oh----A-A
(Chorus)
I suffer and learn
Be honest, Be good
He demands humanity from us
Where is my destination if someone asks
Wise I am now
I know my end is to go there,
To go there, Heaven
(Verse 2)
No one to be with
Nothing pleases but hurts
Far away from my love and homeland
In the steep of falling and rising of waves
Nature’s anger is tremendous
Oh---A-A
(Chorus)
I suffer and learn
Be honest, Be good
He demands humanity from us
Where is my destination if someone asks
Wise I am now
I know my end is to go there,
To go there, Heaven
I suffer and learn
Be honest, Be good
He demands humanity from us
What is my destination if one asks
Wise I am now
I know my end is to go there,
To go there, Heaven
(Recitation)
“I am an Anglo-Saxon man.
Sweeping through the ocean my five feet fleet
I lament in the dark, lonely, and isolated from everyone
I live in a dangerous era
And I realize that, It is a good practice
Not to expose one’s heart to others
So I keep my sorrows, my pains, and my emotions in my thoughts.
This is the fighting spirit for surviving here
According to Germanic tribe tradition,
It is important to be strong physically, emotionally, and morally to survive
So I let out my pains through this song
Here is a troubled one, blowing northern kiss
Towards the harsh and bitter seawater
With happy memories in the past,
I live in my imagination
Hearing the laughter of my lover and breathing the fragrance of her
Sitting in a sweet, warm room with a furnace
Everything is provided for but for a moment only
I had everything once but then I lost them all;
My happiness, my smile, my home and eventually my love
I suffer and I learn from this cruel nature of the Whale-road
You are the cure of my inner agony, Lord
From you, I find eternal happiness
My Fate is on You
Wise one I am now
I know my destination is to go to Heaven
Oh----Oh- A--A
(Chorus)
Where is my destination if someone asks
Wise I am now
I know my end is to go there,
To go there, Heaven
Where is my destination if someone asks
Wise I am now
I know my end is to go there,
To go there, Heaven

Isabella was stitching a pair of woolen socks when a messenger enters into their
chamber where she, her mother Henrietta and her younger brother Edward are present.
Everyone turns around him with a questioned face, though they already could guess the
message. “The King has returned!” the messenger said and leaves the chamber
immediately after showing respect to them.
Henrietta stands up quickly, a soft smile takes place on her cheek. She quickly sets her
dress and checks her hair on the mirror to set them perfectly before going to meet the
King. She is looking more elegant and regal. “Well, this is a joyous news. Isabella,
Edward get yourselves prepare to greet your father.” she says addressing to her children.
Edward looks very pleasant, “Daddy is home!” saying this he jumps up abandoning his
wooden sword and horse toy. He grabs Henrietta’s hand and starts swaying it by asking
“Will Daddy tell me about the battle?” He seems more excited about the battle story than
the returning of his father. Henrietta smoothly pats on his head and says “I’m sure he
will. After all, his heir needs to know his father’s brave deeds to make his son to be one
like him.”
As usually Isabella is detached from the mother-son’s chatting. She was quietly listening
to them sitting by the side of a window. She is looking very calm but inside she is feeling
very anxious for her father. He has returned from battle again, but is he actually alright?
She almost lost in her thoughts but returns to reality when she listens to her mother
saying “Hurry up Isabella, your father has waited long. He must be tired, don’t make him
wait any longer.”
Isabella leaves the chamber with her mother and brother doubting her father would be
pleased to see her. As she follows her mother and Edward down the hallway and to the
main antechamber of her father’s palace, she reflects on her life. She is 16 years old, the
daughter of a king. She is not a common girl, she is a princess but she could never lead
her life with full freedom. She was never treated like his younger brother though she was
smarter, clever and hard-working then him.
Isabella’s recollection gets interrupted by the sight of her father. She notices a few cuts
and bruises on his shoulders and cheeks. He splits a smile as he gets to see the sight of
his family. Henrietta goes forward and bows down saying “My lord, I’m glad to see your
safe return. Congratulations on uprooting King Andrew’s reign.” Listening to his wife his
face turns paled.
Suddenly Edward jumps up and starts asking questions to his father “Did you kill
anyone?” “Did you get hurt anywhere?” “How many people did you slaughter?” “When
can I join you in the battle?” King Willford feels irritated. “Be quiet” he says his son
strictly. Edward gets scared and stops jumping. King Willford approaches to Isabella and
keeps his hands on her shoulder. “My daughter, you have grown beautifully in my
absence,” he says. Isabella gets surprised and happy because his father finally has
noticed her. “He’ll be satisfied by your elegance” He added. Isabella gets confused. “Who
will father?” she asks curiously.“King Arthur. You’re to marry him” he replies.
“What?” She steps backward out of shock. Since when Arthur- the prince of our greatest
rival clan has become the king? And why would I marry him? They are our greatest
enemy. Out of great surprise and shock a trail of tears falls from her eyes. King Willford
can understand the mental condition of his daughter. He describes her, “King Andrew
died on the battle. But his death could not make his warriors to surrender. His son took
his position and led the battle. We didn’t have enough warriors to continue the battle and
the same for them. So we had no other options to draw up a peace treaty after months of
fighting. And you are to play the key part in that.” Isabella swallows everything. She
knew it before, as a princess she must have to get married to solve any political issue but
she doesn’t want to get married with any of their rival clan. She starts saying, “but
father…” King Willford doesn’t let her to finish. “I’m not asking for your permission here.
I’m just letting you know, that’s it” saying this he leaves the chamber grimly. Her mother
and brother also leave the room to follow the king, left her behind completely alone.
2.
Riding on a horseback alongside her maidservant and a retinue of guards Isabella enters
to the King Arthur’s palace. Once her guards would watch the wedding ceremony then
they will leave to convey the news to her father. Then she will be totally left alone here in
this unknown land, in the middle of enemies. Her only known company will be her
maidservant, Leia. Leia is comparatively short with brown hair and an average figured
person. She is a middle aged women and she has been taking care of Isabella since her
childhood. “We’re here” one of the guards says. When they arrive, the guards of King
Arthur escort them inside the palace. The palace seems quite big and grand than King
Willford’s one. But Isabella is feeling so nervous and scared that she could not see
anything clearly. Inside her mind a storm of thousands of doubts are whirling. She can
literally listen to her heartbeats as they are running so fast. As following the guards on
her way to the king she keeps on thinking about him. “What if he is a very cruel person?”
“What if he doesn’t like me?” And many more doubts are roaming around inside her
head. They stop in front of a chamber and a guard requests her to go inside to meet the
king. With a high beating heart and fearsome mind she enters into the chamber where a
burly, taller man with wide shoulder, black hair and with ocean blue eyes is waiting for
her. With a wide smile he approaches towards the princess. She becomes more nervous.
He stops in front of her and stares at her at one glance. “Princess”, he says, “You’re more
beautiful than your father promised. I suspect you’re smart as well.” His manners are
more like a common man than any lord- Isabella notices and she likes him at the first
sight.
Although she doubts on the veracity of his words yet she blushes and thanks him for the
compliment.
After a little introductory conversation Isabella has led to a small yet beautifully
decorated room to take rest and to prepare herself for the wedding ceremony. The
ceremony will take place tonight. She leans on the bed, closes her eyes and her throat
feels dry out of exhaustion and nervousness.
“Princess”
Isabella opens her eyes and discovers four beautiful young ladies standing in front of the
door. All of them are quite well-dressed to be a servant, Isabella thinks in her mind. They
approach inside her chamber with a warm smile and introduce themselves as: Giselle,
Fiona, Elsa and Vera. And Isabella’s guess was right, they are not any maidservants
rather they are the daughters and sisters of some high ranking thanes. The king has sent
them to help Isabella getting ready for the wedding ceremony. Her maidservant Leia
along with the other four ladies helps her to be dressed as a gorgeous and elegant bride.
Leia takes her in front of a full-length mirror. She gazes at her reflection, taking in the
pearl-white long gown made with the most expensive silk and the gold jewelry gleaming
on her neck and arms. She becomes impressed by her own sight!
Finally it’s the time, Isabella is getting escorted towards the mead hall where along with
the king everybody is waiting for their imminent queen. As she enters into the hall she
gets to see the king standing at the center, looking regal in an ivory colored tunic and
brown cloak. The crowd is filled with thanes and their families. All of them have
gathered here to witness the historical peace weaving wedding ceremony. Isabella
follows her to be husband to the end of the hall and stands on the wedding dais and faces
him. King Arthur takes some time. “Princess Isabella” he begins, “Today our marriage
will bring forth an alliance and a promise of peace.” Gradually Isabella is falling for this
man. She gazes at him mesmerizingly while he continues, “I promise to be a loyal
husband and I shall care for and protect you- for you will not only be my wife, but a
queen and the mother of my heir.” She doesn’t know what is happening with her, she
doesn’t have any idea that how much of these words will come true but she gets
emotional and tears are forcing to come out of her eyes. But somehow she controls her
tears and prepares herself to utter those words that Leia taught her on their way. She
begins, “My lord, I will be a loyal and loving wife and mother. I hope to weave a bond of
everlasting peace between yours and my father’s kingdom.”
The crowd explodes in shout of cheers and the celebration begins. In the mean time the
hall has been filled with lines of food beautifully arranged on the long wooden tables.
There are savory grilled meats, honeyed desserts, different fruits, carafe of mead and
many more items. The king raises his goblet and toasts, “To my splendid queen! May all
our future days be as fruitful as this!” The crowd burst into cheers. A bard begins to sing
the tale of Beowulf and all the guests start enjoying their food and mead with the song.
The celebration runs for several hours and at the end Isabella is led to her bridal
chamber.
3.
Being married means a new journey and a new routine in life. Her first day after marriage
starts with waking up in a stranger’s bed! After then she prepares herself for the
breakfast. King Arthur takes a very quick breakfast with her before going on a hunt with
his thanes. A few moments later those four beautiful young ladies appear in her chamber
and greet their brand new queen. They take her to show around the entire castle and Leia
also follows them. The castle is not only large but also well-fortified. Although all the
chambers they showed her were impressive but Isabella is mostly impressed by the mead
hall because of its unique and beautiful decoration. When she is taken to the weaving
room, she travels back in the time when her mother taught her how to weave for the first
time. She was only six years old and wished to play and run with her brother. But her
mother always dragged her to the weaving room by the guards and forced her to learn
weaving. But now after all those years she passes most of her time in weaving.
In a several weeks Isabella becomes used to with her new routine. She is gradually
getting close with the king. Every morning she wakes up on the arm of her husband and
then they take breakfast together. After taking their breakfast king leaves for the council
meeting or hunting and Isabella spends most of the time in the weaving room. Sometimes
the king takes her on a walk in the garden or on a horse ride on the woods or beside the
sea shore. Nowadays he has started teaching her sward practice as well.
One day, Isabella was weaving a tapestry with Leia when there is a knock on the door
startles them. She becomes surprised not to discover Giselle, Fiona, Elsa or Vera rather
her husband standing on the doorway. She becomes panicked to see her husband
directly on her weaving room in the middle of the day. “Is anything happened, my lord?”
Isabella asks anxiously. The king takes some time and replies hesitatingly, “We have
caught some robbers”, he gives a pause and again starts “And we have found they are
your father’s men”. Isabella feels like the floor has moved away from under her feet. She
takes some time to put herself together and asks her husband, “How can you be assured?
My father cannot do this.” King Arthur tries to calm her down and says, “That is why I’ve
come here to meet with you. Come with me to my court and identify them.” Isabella likes
his idea and follows him to the court. She enters the court with her lord and takes her
place beside his throne. Everyone from the court has stood up and bows them to greet
and then they proceeds. Two guards dragged some prisoners with hands strongly tied
behind their back with rope. The king indicates her to identify them. Isabella inspects
them precisely but they don’t look familiar to her. She hasn’t seen them before. “My lord,
they don’t belong to my father’s clan, I’m assured of this”, she declares. Some warriors
object her by saying, “But my lord, they are wearing King Willford’s armor.” “Hold on” a
senior thane from the court interrupts them. Pointing on a prisoner he asks, “Have you
been alive, my son? What are you doing here?” Everyone turns to that prisoner and
including the king many could recognize him. Till now the prisoners were silent but now
that prisoner opens his mouth. “It’s true, we are not from the king Willford’s clan. We just
robbed some of their thanes and the way of our returning we saw your tribe and decided
to rob you as well” the prisoner confesses. Isabella becomes quite astonished by his
boldness but she also can suspect the prisoner has some previous connection with them.
The king seems quite vulnerable and the first thing he says after listening to him- “Your
tribe?” “How could you say that?” “How could you do this with your own tribe, Alex?”
“How?” Alex echoes. “You should know it better than me” he continues.
From their conversation Isabella gets to know that Alex and the king were childhood
friends. They have grown up together. Almost eight years back Alex’s fiancée, Veronica
died trying to save the prince from an enemies’ attack. Alex misunderstood the prince
thinking Arthur killed her intentionally as he is not going to get her and he left his clan
and now he has joined another clan and has become one of their bravest and trustworthy
thanes. But the King still tries to persuade him and says sorry to him for unable to do
anything for Veronica. He still feels sorry for her and Alex, and out of guilt he took the
responsibility of Giselle and Fiona, the sisters of Alex after he left. But Alex doesn’t seem
to be convinced by the king and he doesn’t seem to be willing to. He hates the king so
much that he is ready to accept the death sentence from the king as he betrayed with his
own clan by attacking on them joining another clan. And many thanes don’t seem willing
to forgive him as he has committed a grave sin. But Isabella feels pity for both of them
and requests to the king to forgive his old friend and to give him a chance as he also
owes something to Alex. King Arthur likes her idea. He doesn’t give him any punishment
and let him reunite with his family. He also set Alex’s fellow thanes free. Many of the
thanes don’t look satisfied with the king’s decision. They don’t think it is a wise one.
After eight years, Alex has reunited with his family. They tried to convince him that it
was a misunderstanding and nothing else. “King Arthur has taken care of all of us in all
these days.” Alex’s father continues, “It is true that he also had feelings for Veronica but
he decided to put friendship and loyalty before his love. In all these years he blamed
himself and felt guilty for being unable to save Veronica and You. He also went to the
woods to search for you but he failed. We all thought you’ve died already. We are glad to
find you again, my son.” After listening to his father Alex gets convinced and decides to
meet with the king. The night before his departure he meets with his old friend, they chat
for hours and enjoy their drinks and dinner in the mead hall. Isabella and Alex's family
also join with them. Alex thanks and also shows his respect to the king for taking care of
his family. "I have decided to take my sisters with me to marry them off with two of the
princes of my new clan" Alex declares. No one disagrees with him. So, on the next
morning Alex and his sisters bid farewell to everyone. They show a special respect
towards the king and the queen. Before departing Alex promises to the king “If you ever
need my help, I will be ready to die for you!” and starts his journey along with his sisters
and his fellow thanes.
4.
A season has passed. Isabella is leading a very peaceful married life with her husband.
Sometimes she also joins the court, council meeting and gives advice to the king. The
king also counts her advises. She has earned faith from the people and has become a
fully grown up queen within a very short time. One afternoon she was feeling a bit week
so she decides to take a quick nap. Her nap gets interrupted by some noise; she
summons for Leia but doesn’t get any response from her. “It has been evening or may be
the early night, where might she have gone at this time?” she thinks in her mind while
leaving her bed. “Is anyone out there?” Isabella shouts but doesn’t get any response from
anyone. “What? Does everyone is busy making dinner today?” thinking this on her mind
she leaves her chamber. After opening the door she becomes scared by a huge noise of
running, crying, shouting, dragging, fighting and clanging of metal swords. She follows
the noise until she discovers the source of it. Isabella gasps, in the midst of his own court
the king and his thanes are fighting. Outside, in the downstairs, on the garden, the
women and girls are running and dragging by mighty thanes and the guards are being
slaughtered while trying to save them. And the worst part is, the thanes who are
attacking on them are none other than but her father’s men.
“Stop!” Isabella cries as she runs forward to the court where her husband is fighting to
save his life and to save the kingdom. Suddenly she feels someone grabs her hand and is
pulling her back. She turns around to see Leia is breathing hard.
“Leia!” “Where have you been?” Isabella cries. “You can’t go inside”, Leia gasps. “But I
need to, they are my father’s men, may be there has been some mistakes or
misunderstanding. I can stop the fight.” Isabella insists. “My lady, listen to me. It’s
dangerous for you, you might get hurt.” Leia grabs her tightly. “But my father’s thanes...”
Isabella exclaims.
Suddenly a fuss grabs the attention of everyone. Isabella gasps and becomes speechless
as she sees her husband kneeling on the ground and a thane is pointing a sword at his
chest. Her husband is unarmed and holding up his hands in surrender. Suddenly the
doors from the opposite side of the court opened and King Willford walks into the court.
Isabella couldn’t say anything except “F-f-f-a-a-t-h-e-r!”
Putting herself together she approaches to him and shouts “So was that all pre-planned?”
“And how? How did you get into the castle” she gives a pause and then again gives an
expression like she has solved her calculation and has got her answer in her mind. She
turns around to Leia and asks “Was that you?” Leia doesn’t give her any answer, she
looks down to the floor. Isabella becomes so astonished that she starts stammering.
“How, how could you do this? How could you do this with me?” “You have been serving
me since my birth” she cries. “I have never served you, my lady! I’ve only severed my
benevolent lord, King Willford” she barely answers. A sense of betrayal, confusion,
dread, anger, fear and most of all: a sense of grave pain makes her numb. She doesn’t
know what to say or what to do. King Willford avoids her daughter and approaches
towards the throne and declares “King Arthur, you are hereby demoted to the common
rank of an exile. You will atone for your sins and of your father’s. I, King Willford have
taken over this land and the loyalty of its thanes.” Without thinking of a second Isabella
rushes to her husband and declares “I’ll also join with my husband. Where my lord goes,
I’ll go. We’ll walk this life together.” But King Willford doesn’t look bothered with his
daughter. He is immensely pleasured with his new throne!
5.
“Why have you followed me into exile? You could’ve simply led a comfortable life under
your father’s shelter.” Arthur asks Isabella with a curious face. It is afternoon of the day
and the breeze has already been quite chilly. She has started shivering with cold. She
takes a suitable place under a tree, sits down quietly but doesn’t give any response to her
husband. He again asks, “I mean, I’m not from your clan. We belong to rival tribes. Why
have you left your own clan for me? Even our marriage is still fresh. You easily could
have started a new journey with another man.” Now Isabella gazes at her husband and
asks with a soft simile, “Do you remember our wedding vows? He nods, “Yes”. You’ve
kept your words accordingly and I’m keeping my own. I don’t like those people who say
but don’t keep their words. With the term “keeping words” king Arthur remembers
something and he seems quite glad. “Now, what to do?” He gets distracted by Isabella’s
question. “Well, let’s see!” he smirks.
They have been struggling with the mighty and cruel nature, and walking inside the
woods for how many days Isabella can’t count. During the day time they try to collect
foods and dry sticks for them and during the night they take shelter inside caves, make
fire with stones and those dry sticks to keep themselves warm and to protect them from
the wild creatures. At the beginning they had to face so many difficulties and they used
to pray and beg to the nature to be kind to them. But it doesn’t seem like nature felt or
feels any sympathy for them. They are facing challenges till now but they are trying to
adopt their situation and it seems like they have become a bit successful.
One day they hear a sound of horse steps and immediately hide themselves behind a
large tree. But their attempt of hiding went in vein; they catch the attention of the rider.
The stranger halts his horse and shouts, “Whose there?” The voice seems quite familiar to
the king, so he peeks on the horse-rider behind the tree. A wide smile takes place on his
cheeks immediately. “Yes, I had been approaching to the right direction” He cheers.
Isabella feels dumb founded, she couldn’t get her husband. He grabs her hand and comes
out from the shelter of the tree. Isabella becomes glad and astonished at the same time.
She thanks to the Wyrd inside her mind and both she and her husband shout together
saying, “Its Alex!”
Alex takes them to his chateau and gives them shelter. At night he prepares a grand
dinner for them and listens to them in details about what happened. His eyes start
burning with anger when he gets to know, along with many other thanes his father also
has been imprisoned by King Willford. He decides to attack on King Willford and says,
“Give me seven days to prepare my troop. If it’s needed, I’m ready to sacrifice my life to
regain our own land and our own magnificent king.” Within seven days the king prepares
himself for the war to regain his own kingdom. On the eighth day King Arthur along with
Alex and his troop start their journey towards restoring his kingdom. After a turbulent
war king Arthur successfully takes over his land and set his thanes free from
imprisonment. A few days later King Arthur celebrates a great event in his mead hall.
Everyone enjoys the night with great contentment. He rewards his friend Alex and his
troop with plenty of hoards. Then he goes to Queen Isabella with a goblet, he toasts it
with Isabella’s one and says gratefully, “I’m so glad to have you in every steps of the way
of my life.” Both of them gaze at each other and embrace themselves with immense love.
15 years later
Merida was stitching a pair of woolen socks when a messenger enters into their chamber
where she, her mother Isabella and her younger brother Augustus are present. Everyone
turns around him with a questioned face, though they already could guess the message.
“The King has returned!”

It was a very long time ago, when Romans invaded into
Briton. The Celtic people were there and flourishing their
own way. Celtic people were minding their own business.
But Romans were vigorous and cruel. They started to
occupying lands and oppressing people over there. In 400 bc,
where Romans were not that strong anymore. But few of
them were still showing their power. And in the other hand,
Celtic people and their lord trying their best to hold their power.
At that time, in one place, Blaire who was a young girl, used to live in a village under a
Celtic lord named Kane. Blaire used to live with her parents and had a best friend named
Alma. Blaire had a wonderful life with her little sister. But now, everything has changed.
A Roman king invaded their land and captured all the goods and young girls. They took
all the old and inactive people somewhere near. Blaire and Alma do not know where
their loved ones are staying. Blaire and Alma are blind-folded and hands are tied with
shackles with many girls in cold night, shivering with each other. They do not know
where they are going. Blaire comforting Alma and said, “Do not worry Alma, we will be
free. Do not have fear, our general will be here any soon. I can already hear clopping of
their horses.
Alma said, “ Do not have hope my friend. Just do not. But please, be by my side if
anything goes wrong. I am scared.”
Blaire said, “My father was a warrior. And a daughter of a warrior does not fear anything.
We will have our backs.”
They are guided by two Roman warrior brothers, Tacitus and Tatianus. Tatianus is saying
that, “Brother, tonight is our night!”
Tacitus said, “It is not in our hand, the king will decide whom he will keep. So stop
dreaming and put these girls in the warehouse, quick!”
2
The lord Kane is bleeding and lying in front of the now king named, Nero. Nero, who is
now Roman king in this land and mercilessly looking at the former king saying, “ It is so
pathetic to see someone who had ruled over here for so long and gone against our blood.
And now, you are like those same lords whom all the Roman people killed and ruled
over, just like I am doing.”
Behind of king Nero, the daughter of Kane, Gwenn is in position with her sword to kill
the king. But failed and captured by general, Rufus. Rufus is beloved general of Nero.
Nero can blindly trust on him with anything. As well as this time, Rufus saved Nero
again. King said, “Well done general!” . Looking at Gwenn, “Who are you filthy!?”
Gwenn said, “I am the daughter of lord Kane. Let my father go, and I will not do anything
to you. I promise.”
King Nero laughed and looking at her with evil intentions. He continued, “You are very
attractive my princess. Although I had three wives before you, and killed all of them.
Because they went against me. So darling, be gentle with me and I will not do any harm
to your father. I promise.”
Gwenn accepted Nero’s agreement and married off with him with heavy heart in that
night. And the irony is, Gwen does not know, where they took her father away in that
night.
3
Vitus, another Roman warrior who has no respect for women. For him, women are just
for enjoyment. He does not hesitate to beat them and torture them. After the morning, he
joined with Tacitus and Tatianus to take the girls to the king, in the palace. The king
chooses Alma to become cup bearer, as she is so attractive looking girl. Rest of them
were decided to be comfort women to the warriors or to be servants in the palace. But
Vitus’s evil mind, sets on to Blair’s beautiful hair. Vitus requests the general and gets
permission to keep her in the palace. The king is irritated as Vitus always into the young
girls and not into improve his war skills. King Nero asked Vitus, “For God’s sake Vitus,
can you concentrate on your skills? I can give you hundreds Blair if you do so.”
Vitus said, “My king, I really like this one. As you saw, it is been more than five months I
have not touched it. I did not pressure her. I genuinely like it, trust me”
King said, “Oh Vitus, you are planning to kill her as you always did to other girls in past,
aren’t you? You always say this, but eventually kill them. If you do not like it, give it to
another warrior. I have been considerate to her consents because of Alma. If it was not
Alma, I, the king Nero would order that virgin Blair to have sweet nights with you. So be
genuine with her.”
Vitus was furious. In rage, he is telling himself, “I am going to smash that king’s little
whore Alma very soon.”
4
Blair and Alma sitting on the ground of servants room. Talking and reminiscing all the
things they did when they were young. They are laughing, remembering of how they steal
food from the kitchen. Blaire saying, “Alma, I never thought the situation will turn into
like this. We thought we would marry with someone of our community and will have
babies. Now look at us.”
Alma said, “Do not get sad my friend. Look, how much food we are getting. Although, it
is tough to do household in this palace. But, as long as I have your side, then I would not
get scared. Please do not get sad, it is my humble request.”
Blaire said, “Why are you pleasing me? I should get my bow down near your feet to save
me from that rascal. How will I survive without you my friend? We do not even know
where are our loved ones are. Are they okay, Alma?
Alma replied, “I pray to our Christ God to protect them. I hope they are living in a good
condition and have some food.”
Blaire asked Alma, “Is our queen Gwenn doing well? I know she is in a tough condition.”
Alma teared up a bit and said, “I feel worst for the queen. The king is not in love with her.
He is using her. The king wants to marry me. And I would never marry a guy, who
invaded our land and caused a lot of troubles.”
Suddenly, both Blair and Alma hear the general Rufus walking toward to the king’s
office. They follow him and evesdropped. They hear some unknown tribe are trying to
invade the land. They also heard that the tribes are staying near the bank and preparing
to invade tomorrow or maybe few days later. Blair said, “This is our opportunity Alma. I
will go there, and tell them the weak parts of this palace, so they can invade. We can not
wait too long. I am so happy to think that we will meet our parents and siblings again.”
A voice from behind comes, “Where are you going Blaire?”
Blaire and Alma get scared; they are fearing to turn their heads around.
The voice said again, “Look at me, it is queen’s order.”
Both of the friends get kind of relief some stress and sigh. They turn around, seeing the
queen standing there. The queen continued, “Blaire, I am very happy that you have that
courage and charisma to save the land again. Me too Blaire, I can not help but see my
dear father again. I do not want the throne, I want to be in peace with my father and
ready to live in a hut.”
Blaire happily speaks, “My queen!”
Gwenn added, “Tell me, how can I help you to establish the plan? “
Blaire replied, “My queen, I need two big coats, very black and old coat. So that we can
not be seen in night. And important thing is, we know the route to the bank.”
Alma speaks, “My friend, I can not go with you. The king frequently asks about me” bows
her head down in shame in front of the queen.
Queen Gwenn said to Alma, “Be not ashamed in front of me. I do not agree this marriage.
He is using me and I know that. I promise, every girl in our territory will be free from this
vicious king Nero. Lift your head up dear.” Then continued to Blair, “I will go with you.”
5
That night, Blaire and Gwenn preparing for going out of the palace secretly. They are
finally able to get out of the palace. Blaire is now showing the Gwenn to the route to the
bank. There they see very huge ships near the bank. There are some tent, as Blaire
remembers what the general said earlier.
A warrior named Randolph from German tribe, holds them for peaking their tent. Blaire
said, “We are not enemies. Please do not kill us.”
Gwenn starts talking, “Listen, take me to your lord, we need help. We are here to help
you to invade here. Trust us.”
Randolph said, “How am I going to trust you? What is your status?
Gwenn replies, “I am the current queen of this area, if you do not believe me, see my
bangles.” She shows her royal bangles.
Randolph believes them and takes them to the lord named Osmund. In the tent, the
German tribe’s lord speaking about how the plan will be taken in order to get the area
with his brother Osgar and general Leofsige.
Osmund is now surprised to see these two women from their enemies side to be here
with them. Leofsige now takes his sword out and tries to put it in front of the queen. But
Blair comes in front of the queen and protects her, saying, “She is the queen here. Please
have some respect toward her for God’s sake!”
Leofsige is now struck there silently, looking at the fearsome eyes of Blair and dives into
the ocean of affection toward this lady. Osmund stops Leofsige and tells him to be
straight back. Osmund now hears about the incident that happened recently from the
queen and Blair. The queen Gwenn now tells Osmund all the passages of the palace’s and
the warriors capabilities and so on. Osgar tries to talk to the Queen, but the queen
ignores him. And continues to talk to Osmund about the plan. She offers him the whole
place as well as the palace too. She promises him to that she will not take over. But
Osmund says to the queen that, “After taking over everything, I will give you something
special. It is a promise from a future lord of your land. Then both of the girls finally went
out of the tent and bid farewell from them and promises to meet each other again. But
the general Leofsige insists to take them to the palace by himself. Then Gwenn refused to
do so. Osgar there hears everything and insists them again.
They are walking together silently. Osgar again tries to talk to the queen. He addresses
her as queen. Gwenn stands there reacted angrily toward him and tells him, “Sir, I am
trying my best to not to talk with you. And now, you are insisted us to pursue to the
palace.” Before Osgar could say, Gwenn speaks, “And I do not consider myself queen. I
will live as a poor girl from now on.” Osgar shuts his mouth off and does not dare to
speak again at that night. General Leofsige speaks softly with Blair. Blair feels like maybe
he is the one who would care for her for the rest of the life. They exchange some words
and promised to meet each other after the invasion.
6
After reaching there, both of them is about to go to the warehouse to change the
clothings. But the scene horrifies them. It is the dead body of Alma lying there lifelessly.
Blair runs after her and takes her head to her lap. Blair was crying her hearts out and
says, “What just happened my friend? Why are you here lifelessly? Why there is so blood?
Who killed you Alma?” Gwenn consoles her and says, “Just pray Blair, just pray.
Tomorrow, there will be new sunshine, just pray,” There Blair vows to take revenge
whoever did this. Gwenn sits there with numb impression. In front of the warehouse
door, Vitus comes with a bloody sword and says to Blair, “I was waiting for you my
wine.” Blair and Gwenn both of them get shocked and look at him. “I know you both are
surprised to me like this. I heard everything what you filthy ladies discussed an hour ago.
Then I captured this whore and forced her to tell me the truth. But she did not. So I had
to kill her very finely by cutting slit on every part of the body. No no my ladies, I did not
inform the king. I was waiting for you to come quench my thirst by drinking your blood
Blair. But I guess, I have one more meal to complete the thirst.” Before Vitus could do,
Osgar attacks him and Leofsige killed Vitus.
Gwenn asks both of them, “How do you gentlemen know that we will be here?”
Osgar replies, “We followed you, my majesty.” Then Osgar and Leofsige take both ladies
together in a safe place in their tent.
7
After that night, the warriors of German tribes march to the place of Nero and attacks
him. They know every passages of the palace’s as they were told by Gwenn.
Osmund kills the king mercilessly and tells that, “You did everything wrong you foul and
filthy animal. Tell me where are the other people you captured and the previous king?”
The king Nero is so coward that he spills everything and asks spare for his life in front of
Osmund. Eventually Osmund kills Nero and Leofsige kills Rufus.
8
After three months, everything goes to settle. Blair found her family and Alma’s family
also. Those families were having labor at that time. But they get relief after seeing Blaire
alive. She told everything what happened. Alma’s family sob to their heart and decide to
leave the territory. But Blair stops them and takes the responsibility. In the other hand,
all the girls were safely sent back to their family, others were married off with Germanic
tribes. But here, Osgar trying his hard to impress Gwenn, who is now no longer queen.
Gwenn goes to the now lord, named Osmund, and complaints about his brother.
Osmund says that, “I know about this from a very long time. But lady, my brother is in
love with you. I know, you have built some feelings toward him. So please, accept the
proposal.”
Gwenn replied, “I promised that I will not try to occupy the palace. We have an
agreement, so why would I marry your brother and live here?”
Osmund asked politely, “Why will there be any problem? Do you remember that I would
give you something special? That special thing is the marriage proposal. Accept the love
of my precious brother. I promise, he will make you comfortable.”
Gwenn accepts the proposal and married off happily with Osgar.
In the other hand, the couple who fell in love with each other in one night are now
starting their preparation for the marriage. After hearing this, Osmund by himself goes
there and gives them not only good wishes but also lots of goods too. After all these
events, Gwenn and Blair recall about Alma’s repayment of her life and all the warriors,
who took part of the war.

Anglo Saxon period is the oldest regarded duration which endured from 410 to 1066. This
duration had a surely tricky lifestyle with secure government art and a pretty massive
quantity of literature. Most of the humans believed that the culture of the Anglo Saxon
time was extraordinarily unsophisticated, however nonetheless it was sincerely
extremely superior for the time. Notwithstanding the many advancements, the time was
once nearly continually in a nation of war. The Anglo Saxon period is a time which is
filled with outstanding developments and discoveries in culture, society, government,
religion, literature and artwork and so on.
The early Anglo Saxon period covers the period of medieval Britain that starts from the
cease of Roman rule. By the year 400, southern Britain- Britain under Hadrian’s Wall was
a peripheral section of the Western Roman Empire on occasion misplaced to
insurrection or invasion, however till then always eventually recovered. Around 410,
Britain slipped beyond direct imperial manipulate into a phase which has normally been
termed “sub-Roman”.
In the 2nd half of the 6th century, four structures contributed to the establishment of Anglo
Saxon society: the function and freedoms of the ceorl, the smaller tribal areas coalescing
into larger kingdoms, the elite growing from warriors to Kings, and Irish monasticism
growing beneath Finnian.
In 565, Columbia, a monk from Ireland who studied at the monastic school of Moville
underneath Saint Finnian, reached Lona as a self-imposed exile. The have an impact on
of the monastery of Lona would develop into what Peter Brown has described as an
“unusually sizeable religious empire,” which “stretched from western Scotland deep to
the southwest into the heart of Ireland and, to the southeast, it reached down throughout
northern Britain thru the impact of its sister monastery Lindisfarne” Michael Drout calls
this period the “Golden Age” when gaining knowledge of flourished with a renaissance in
classical knowledge.
By 660, the political map of Lowland Britain had developed with smaller territories
coalescing into kingdoms commenced dominating the smaller kingdoms. The
establishment of kingdoms with a particular king being diagnosed as an overlord,
developed out of an early free structure. Simon Keynes suggests that the 8th century-9th
century was period of financial and social flourishing that created stability both below
the Thames and above the Humber. However, between the Humber and Thames, one
political entity, the kingdom of Mercia grew in affect and electricity and attracted
attention in the East.
The 9th century noticed the upward push of Wessex from the foundations laid by way of
King Egbert in the first quarter of the century to the achievement of King Alfred the great
in its closing decades. Alfred correctly defended his kingdom in opposition to the Viking
strive at conquest and grew to be the dominant ruler in England. He was the first king of
the West Saxons to fashion himself “ King of the Anglo Saxons”. Alfred had a recognition
as a discovered and merciful man with a gracious and level headed nature who prompted
education and expanded his kingdom’s criminal machine and navy shape and his
people’s first class of life.
During the path of the tenth century, the West Saxon Kings extended their energy first
over Mercia then over the southern Danelow and in the end over Northumbria, thereby
imposing a semblance of political cohesion on peoples who however would stay
conscious of their respective customs and their separate pasts. The status and
pretensions of the monarchy increased the establishments of government strengthened
and Kings and their retailers sought in more than a few approaches to establish social
order.
The seen Anglo Saxon tradition can be viewed in the culture of buildings, dress Styles,
illuminated texts and grave goods. Behind the symbolic nature of these cultural emblems
there are robust elements of tribal and lordship ties. The elite declared themselves Kings
who developed burhs and identified their roles and peoples in biblical terms. Above all as
Helena Hamerow has observed, “local and extended kin businesses remained the
imperative unit of production in the course of the Anglo Saxon period.” The
consequences persist in the 21st century as, according to a study posted in March 2015,
the genetic make-up of British populations today shows divisions of the tribal political
gadgets of the early Anglo Saxon period.
The ties of loyalty to a lord were to his person, now not to his station there was once no
actual idea of patriotism or loyalty to a cause. This explains why dynasties waxed and
waned so quickly; a kingdom was once solely as strong as its leader king. There was no
underlying administration or forms to hold any positive aspects beyond the lifetime of a
leader.
The first crew of King Alfred’s three-fold Anglo-Saxon society are praying men—people
who work at prayer. Although Christianity dominates the non secular history of the
Anglo-Saxons, existence in the 5th and 6th centuries was once dominated by using “pagan”
non secular beliefs with a Scando-Germanic heritage. Almost each poem from earlier
than the Norman Conquest, no depend how Christian its theme, is steeped in pagan
symbolism, but the integration of pagan beliefs into the new belief goes past the literary
sources. Anglo-Saxon England determined methods to synthesize the faith of the church
with the present “northern” customs and practices. Thus the conversion of the
Anglo-Saxons used to be not simply their switching from one exercise to another,
however making some thing sparkling out of their historic inheritance and their new
beliefs and learning. Monasticism, and not simply the church, was at the core of
Anglo-Saxon Christian life. The function of churchmen was once analogous with that of
the warriors waging heavenly warfare.
The 2nd aspect of Alfred’s society is warfare men. The situation of war and the
Anglo-Saxons is a curiously overlooked one; however, it is an necessary issue of their
society.
The 3rd aspect of Alfred’s society is working men. Helena Hamerow counseled that the
prevailing model of working lifestyles and settlement, mainly for the early period, was
one of moving agreement and building tribal kinship. The mid-Saxon duration saw
diversification, the development of enclosures, the starting of the toft system, nearer
management of livestock, the gradual unfold of the mould-board plough, “informally
normal plots,” and a larger permanence, with in addition contract consolidation
thereafter foreshadowing post-Conquest villages. The later intervals saw a proliferation
of “service features,” including barns, mills, and latrines, most markedly on high-status
sites. Throughout the Anglo-Saxon period, Helena Hamerow suggested: “local and
extended relations businesses remained the fundamental unit of production.”
However there is another feature of Anglo Saxon period which is the literary features.
The 10th century is considered the beginning of English Literature and it contains most of
the surviving Anglo Saxon poetry. The book of Anglo Saxon poetry is known as the
“Exeter” book. Some of the main features of Anglo Saxon literature are-
Exile- Exile was one of the most tragic fates that Anglo Saxon man or woman could
imagine. Many of the poems of “Exeter Book” deals with the pain of exile.
Fate- The Anglo Saxons strongly believed in the concept of fate which is called Wyrd in
Old English. They believed that divine fate governed the lives of human beings and
directed the course of worldly events.
The Transience of Earthly Life- Many of the Old English poems in Exeter Book display an
awareness of the transience of earthly life. The poets describe buildings crumbling and
bridges falling, men dying of illness, by the sword, or due to old age; kingdoms collapsing
and rulers’ reigns ending.
The Relationship between a Lord and his Warriors- Another feature of Anglo Saxon
poetry is that the relationship between a Lord and his subordinate warriors. Many Anglo
Saxon poems exhibit this special relationship.
The Power of Nature (Pagan God)- The Anglo Saxon were very much aware of the
awesome power of nature and they used to worship different natural forces as their
Gods and whom they believed to control their lives. Powerful storms, freezing
temperatures, dangerous animals, eclipses, astronomical anomalies and stormy seas
were simply part of the overall picture of their lives.
Loneliness- Loneliness is a salient component of many of the Anglo Saxon poems, thus
giving them an immediacy and resonance with modern readers as well.
Wisdom- Anglo Saxons valued wisdom and their literature showcase the quest for it.
Since they were constantly aware of fate and the reality that all men would die one day,
they valued a dignified and pragmatic approach to life
However this period used to be known as the Dark Ages because written sources for the
early years of Saxon invasion are scarce. Most historians now prefer the terms ‘early
middle ages’ or ‘early medieval period’. The very fact is that Anglo Saxon period had a
great impact on the social, religious, political and also in literary features of that time.

From Seashore
My beloved Lord, why did you leave this world leaving me alone? My untold agony is
looking for a shelter. In this seashore, I found none to talk with.I am talking to myself.I
am so far from you that I cannot even ask you how are you! I still remember during this
time we used to prepare for new war.Every adventure was like a pleasure for me as you
were with me.My family didnot get worried about me because they knew I was with
you. Those moments I spent with you and my fellow soldiers, now calling me again. In the
meadhall,my mother, sister and my wife used to serve us wine. How delicious sip it was!
The meadhall sparked with the song of our victory. Where are those golden days now? Is
it so time fade away? Where are my friends now who used to say I was their soulmate?
My own community denied to accept me.Did you learn us this my lord? When you were
with us,none could even talk to us in a rudely voice. Those voice are now so rude that my
request couldnot melt their heart.I lost you last year my lord.Only I know how every
second I spent in the sea.It was me who never thought that he has to journey alone in the
cold weather. No clothes, no food I found.I just kept on my journey. In this journey,
everyone left me but only you were in my heart my lord. Because I learned from you how
to overcome the pain, how to keep patience in tough time. One year is not a short
time.Maybe it is good for me.If I did not face this tough time, I could not able to
experience the life of an exile person. In this one year,I have learned that none is
permanent in life. Those who promise us to walk together, they donot keep their
promise. It is just few sweet words to hear.If it was not, why my own community showed
betrayal face? I never thought I would become a burden to my own people.Every wound
in my soul and hands used to cry.But I have find my remedy my lord. Your inspiration
showed me a new hope to live.I am not that person who used to think of only success.
This exile life has introduced me with my God.I thought if I do worship to the stormy
sea,it would not harm us.I thought if I prayer to the fire,it would give me strength. But no
my lord,no! You know I was totally wrong. In fact we all were totally wrong. How cheap
we were that we tortured our wifes! We never showed any respect to them. The girls
were treated like products. I feel so ashamed of myself when I think about these. We only
cared about our status, our success, our wealth. We were so busy that we never thought
what is the purpose of our life.My lord, you are favourite to me forever but if I get any
chance to tell all these things,I would be so happy.Maybe you would think I am telling
this like an elegy or an epic, but life itself a long poem my lord. I am sharing these with
you so that I could get relief from my sins.I am thankful to my God that He showed me
the right path.I am satisfy with my peaceful soul.Do you remember you gifted me the
precious sword that you loved the most? Only that memory is with me now but the
sword lost.I am blessed that now those nightmares donot bother me.I understand none is
going to share my pain. But I could control my evil mind, maybe the sins that I did never
happened. I cannot send this letter to you my lord, but if anyone ever go through this
letter,I would like to tell you that I find my peaceful soul. My pain,my worries are
mine. You cannot heal it if my God never wants.Spring has started my lord,I am trying to
forget the darkness of the winter. If God wants,we will meet again my lord.My prayer will
be always there for you.I have to go for my prayer now.I am leaving my words but I want
to put a request for all of you.Donot wait for a right time, you never know when you will
face the last day in this world.Follow the way that will give you the eternal success after
life. This worldly life is nothing but a big lie.

Anglo Saxon period started from 410 to 1066 AD. We can see the reflection of Anglo
Saxon culture in the material culture of buildings, dress style, grave goods etc. Behind
this symbol there are strong elements of have tribal and lordship ties. The elite declared
themselves Kings. There were soldiers under his commands. The soldiers always obeyed
their Kings and they were ready to die for the King. There were wars between various
groups in that time. The soldiers used to protect the King and for that the King used to
pay the soldiers. There were working class people also. Their economic condition mainly
dependent on war. The women’s were not allowed do work outside. The males were the
only earning member of the family. But the women's could perform in productive works.
For enjoying their time they used to gather in a place where various performers are
formed there roles like telling story. At that time England became the most powerful
empire in the world. In that time England had stable government. For industrialization
there were lots of Mills and factories in Victorian period. That’s why the males could
work in Mills and factories. In period such society males were independent but the
females were dependent and the males could use the females as they wanted. There were
development in society. So there were a lots of theatres and music halls. people could
enjoy their time by various programmes like drama presentation singing dancing etc.
The Anglo Saxons were firstly the believer of Pagan religion. But later they were
converted to Christianity. In AD 597 ST Augustine had been sent to convert the Anglo
Saxons. The Seven kingdoms were converted to Christianity. there were reasons for
them to switch the religion. First reason was that the Charles said them that the
Christian God would deliver them victory in battles and the other reason was Pagan gods
were cruel. They learned that Christian God was not cruel. On the other hand Most of the
were Christian.
Anglo Saxon literature is also known as old English literature. Beowulf Is the highest
achievement of old English literature and the longest old English poem. Other great
poetry included The Wanderer, The Seafarer etc. The poets of this period are unknown.
Two known poets are Caedmon and Cynewulf. Caedmon Is considered as the first old
English Christian poet. Old English poetry survived in four manuscript : the Exeter Book,
the Junius Manuscript, the Vercelli Book and the Beowulf manuscript. In old English
prose we can find legal writings, religious text and translations from Latin and other
languages. Anglo Saxon Chronicle is a historical record. It began during the time of King
Alfred’s reign and it continued for more than three centuries. On the other hand
Victorian literature contains poetry, fiction, essays and letters that produced during the
reign of Queen Victoria. The pre Victorian writers such as Jane Austen And Walter Scott
observed social satire and they satired the society in their writings. They also wrote
historical fiction. There were a lot of famous Victorian writers named Charles Dickens,
Elizabeth Barrett Browning, George Eliot, Thomas Hardy, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Oscar
Wilde etc. their writings are still popular in modern period. The writers of this age wrote
about Victorian society, they wrote about the people of the society, they also wrote
About the condition of men and women of that society. The writers of this period has a
great impact on English literature. In Anglo Saxon time there were no printing press. So
they could not print anything. But in Victorian time there were lots of presses. that's why
books could be printed easily.

Dear Rabbey,
I hope this letter finds you in the best of spirits. Hope you are doing well with you family
members. I am also fine with my family members.
Few days back I was reading a book which was written in Old English period and that
showed the condition of women back in the time. As the society in old English period
were male dominated and it expected that females will struggle. But the thing that
shocked me is, is seems like nothing much has changed since than. As men were the
central character of society so the women in the society was more submissive and had to
suffer a lot. They played the role of peace weavers, cupbearer, motivator and also a
memory keeper. Women were forced to marry someone with who is their tribe is warring
with. So that the war stops. Which also common in the present time that their parents
forces them to get married the person who is chosen by the parents and the girl can not
say any words on that. Cupbearer refers that when the male member were merriments
the women had the duty to serve mead or bear to them so that they can rejoice. Also in
the present days women have serve tea , coffee and other goods to them so that they can
spend quality time. In old English age women played the role of motivator as they have to
motivate the knights so that they can go to war and perform well. Even in now days
unlike old age men do not go to war but they do go to work for get some livings, so for
that the males need motivator as women.
By all these what I’ve realised is whatever the age it is the picture of a struggling women
is eternal. They suffered in every age. When ever the male dominated society they took
women as objects and they suffered. Another common thing was people at that time was
also not very religious. They used to thing that human life is shaped by fate( wyrd). Anglo
saxon culture included grim and fatalistic world view.
This is it all for today, you may also read some books about different cultures and do let
me know your thoughts.
Kind Regards

What happened to me? Try to tell it ---
Nowadays married is a big crime in this city, but if you want to be rude, there is no
shortage of boys / girls!
But why do not I make illegal love/relationship ? In words ------
I can never do that!!!
Because
I'm human, yes I'm really human, and so I can't cheat anyone!
Because it binds my conscience -
The promise made to the last man, the fear of the creator!
Wondering if this is the age? People make promises while sitting in front, and I'm more
than 1897.21 kilometers away from that person. But I'm not breaking the promise!
I say --- love is to be, to be in the bond of love, and in the midst of our happiness - peace -
serenity - satisfaction!
But what I see among you is love, and this love is acceptable / survives as long as you do
not run towards destruction as a result of lies and brutality!
You can say ---
Now the relationship is in the middle, and the IPL series (T20) is for the relationship!
Someone like me can abuse people based on such comments, even someone can talk
about the power of masculinity!
Again, someone said nicely, what will happen from drowning in religion? This will never
happen; time and civilization will be change with the era!
I agree that time is changing with the era of civilization!
But why change, it is for your deeds! This is the beginning of oppression, torture and
brutality!
Explaining the brutality of the society to give evidence to anyone who wants to go to the
controversy by betting on its evidence ----
In the social system, the most talked about, viral and terrible epidemic disorder is
women, especially infant girls, according to the survey. , Whose age is approximately
04-18 years maximum, in some cases less than 4 years! Most of them are school students,
some are Mosque students, and some are going to college after completing their school
life, some are just starting school life, some are just getting admission in class 5, etc -
(Try to understand with your own knowledge)
You know what? About 90 percent of the students who are bullied among them are
bullied as a result of their own unconscious and lonely movement!
Note: This list includes children who walk without ensuring safety, time-- day or night;
each of them is oppressed from the innocent!
And 3 out of the remaining 10 ---- they try to attract men just to find people like the mind,
but lose everything-- the man of the mind instead of the hyena!
Note: Their list includes girlfriends, classmates, especially acquaintances; the main
culprit for their oppression can be said with confidence!
Special Note: Being selfish, now the girl's classmates are now too bad to harm the girls!
The place is-- Birthday party, a party venue, a cheating place, a list of cheated places ----
One friend's empty house but says parents are still at home, I'll let you meet them ---
Note: Some girlfriends are now boys to hide their information. Helps a friend or
boyfriend, and one day he calls his brother to give a gift / introduction to his girlfriend,
then there is only the hyena and the innocent girl. The classmate closes the door from
the opposite direction and laughs when he hears the screams of the innocent girl, so be
careful!
The next thing you know from the social media is the family class of another member
classmate included in the list of No. 2
Note: We now see the news of his daughter's school-going girlfriend being harassed and
finally getting married in their respective neighborhoods!
So be careful!
Then out of the last 6 percent, 4 percent of the girls are engaged in any work approved by
the government. The reason is to say that the hyenas are engaged in any work approved
by the government --- because they are engaged in any administrative work, they are
abusing their power and abusing the girls!
Note: They are the police, they are the mayor, they are the MP, they are the chairman,
they are the members, they are the village elders, they are the councilors of some place
and some of their sons / grandsons / brothers!
They are freely associated with the influential means of society, businessmen,
industrialists, managers of any advanced workplace, airplanes, etc. ----
Finally 3 percent ---- they are obsessed with the dream of becoming a model! They are
satisfied with high luxury living!
They enter the world of media with huge dreams, they want to avoid offensive things, but
only then --- they are in trouble with the people on the casting couch! Someone works in
the media behind the scenes; someone goes out and loses the dream of being a model
and everything!
Because if they go to the hyenas themselves, they will come back without being injured?
I have not found such a hyena ground!
Note: If you search the dark side of the media world well, you will find the proof!
(Hope you understand the main points of my speech and speech)
My open quest---
Even if deception and love are measured on the same scale, if there is a difference in the
weight of the scales, don't deny that the love was real.
Know that it was not love, but it was merely its own significance, and the lust of men.
And do not reveal yourself in such a way that others will lust after you. Because as a
result both of you will be burnt in this world and in the Hereafter till the moment before
the Resurrection!
If the lusts of the world are proved by the lusts, the lusts will be persecuted by the lusts
and the fire of hell after death.
So we have to move forward with calculation and we can express ourselves in such a
way that the lustful people can see. May Allah Almighty grant us honest grace to
understand these things!
So beware, my Lord has sent you into the world to worship Him and to help you to be
enrolled in Paradise by bringing him to the path of Islam by conveying the message of
guidance to others! Because by this you too will go to Paradise and --- the life of the
Hereafter is eternal and eternal!
Remember, the Creator sent you into the world to help the oppressed innocent man, not
the oppressive hyena!
May Allah Almighty make us successful in the anti-hyena movement and keep us all in
custody!
And I will say the last one; you can change everything in the world from yourself, but
know that nothing will be included in your power on the Day of Judgment!
On that day you will be told about this man who was called insane, because you will be
shown the advice of an honest adviser and you will be told that this is Paradise-Hell!
And my masculinity?
The Creator will inform you well!
I will just say --- the body that my parents covered by the grace of Almighty Allah for my
holiness, the body that is kept holy and covered - even today there is a chance to wear
clothes as a grace from the Creator, to defile the body to someone like that. I have never
had such a mentality and I will never have such an attitude!
The body, the heart and the soul that everyone in the family knows me to be holy ---- will
I return to them unholy? There has never been such a mentality, there will never be!
If I return, I will return in a holy way - just as I walked away from them with holiness!
I have never opposed in love, where the position of holy love, I support it, my Creator -
Allah supports it!
But the destructive love that is revealed from you in the name of love, my Creator
Himself looks at it with hatred and He does not support it. And I'm human, How can I
support it?
And about my love ----
A quote / proverb of my own ---
The real lovers are actually one in a few millions.
They love in vain and stay by their side!
If someone understands it correctly,
We will keep it.
The victory at the end of the day!
But, if one does not understand correctly - if not kept at the right time - the defeat is only
his!
Because we don't come back the second time, get exhausted or get lost in the unknown
darkness, but we never come back!
Finally, a quote / proverb of my own ---
The love created by the emotion of feeling good for a moment is crowded when the
emotion is empty! It's narrower than rust on iron!

The anglo-saxon period is the old English period also remark as a begging of new
England. In this period lot of major incident was happened. This the old English period
so their art, culture, politics, society, religious was different from the modern era. This
period mainly based on war, many historical war was happened in this period.
The anglo-saxon period was remarkable for different kind of political system, society
system and religious system.
This society was mainly based on war so religious system not well remark, people’s
mainly based on their King that time king was all in all.
They judge people by their war ability. People who are good at war fields they remark as
a strong person.
During most of the anglo saxon period, England politically divided in to several small
kingdom's there were however, a handful of anglo saxon kings who were able to subdue
the other kings in England, thus uniting England on a low degree, these kings were
known as " Bretwaldas ".
In anglo saxon period the politics was not stable.
The Vikings invasion changed the political situation in England once and for all.with
almost all of the anglo saxon Kingdoms fallen to Viking hands Wessex managed to regain
control of much of England except the northeastern parts of it, these areas are later
known as Dane law.
England would finally be united by Alfred's grand son, Athelstan. He conquered the
Danelaw and crowned himself the first " King of thus he is often considered the founder
English. Of a United Kingdom of England.
Anglo saxon society was quite different from the culture that developed in the high
middle ages reflected in Chaucer. It was a very tribal form of society in which much
superstition abounded. They were pagans Pagan traditions were fused with christian
ones. For instance the spring festival of Eostre became Easter.
Christian concepts of fortune and providence were similar to the Anglo saxon concept of
wyrd,or fate the control of a person's beyond the reach of personal exertion.
The anglo-saxon literature is different from modern literature this period is the begging
time of English literature.
The anglo-saxon period the literature mainly based on Poetry. Anglo-saxon literature

Tale of a Dragon

Did you ever see a dragon? Yes, I’m talking about those frictional beasts which
have big wings and red eye. You must be thinking I’m crazy. No, I’m telling you the truth.
Telling about huge sized, roaring and fire breathing creature. It was the time of 790AD.
The dark ages of Anglo-Saxon which swallowed the Great Britain. A large number of
manuscripts remain from the 600 year Anglo-Saxon period, with most written during the
last 300 years (9th–11th century), in both Latin and the vernacular. Fighting among tribes
was a common thing back then. People were trembled in fear because of sudden attack
of Vikings. It was as if people had reached the peak of barbarism.
During this time of savagery when people chose killing as entertainment, I was
born. I lived with my father at the top of a mountain in East Anglia. It was a quit pleasant
mountain near North Sea. Our home was seafront. From the window of my room, I can
see the sky connected with open sea. My father used to bake bread and sells them in the
downhill market in every morning. I used to do various household chores and
occasionally helped with my father's work. In those days, girls were considered as
objects of enjoyment. But my father never thought that way. He gave me as much
freedom as I needed. Because of that, I got chances to go out and often went to explore
for new places.
Once I was visiting the mountain near the one I used to live. The climate was so
charming and the environment was so green that I forgot about returning home. By the
time I remember, it was too late. So, I decided to pass the night on that mountain. Near
midnight, I heard a roaring from nearby cave. I was afraid but my curiosity was so strong
to pull me inside the cave. My lag was trembling and my heart was beating so fast. The
closer I get, the heavier the sound. After a while I found a wounded creature. First, I
didn’t believe my eye. I saw a living dragon with a spear in its right wing. It was a just
baby dragon and still the size of an elephant. I went close to examine the injury. It made
me sad how badly people hurt this beautiful creature. I pulled out the spear and tried to
cure its injury using herbals. The dragon didn’t move an inch while I was treating it.
Maybe it understood me and considered me as a friend. When the sun came up, I left the
cave as soon as I can without turning back.
The next few days I locked myself promised not to visit that place again. Because
no one ever seen a dragon, not that I can think of. And no one would believe me about
the thing I saw. But I was worried sick about the health of it. So, I decided to went their
again. I packed some fresh food with me for the creature and went out in the morning. I
was afraid that the dragon won’t recognize me. But it did and came close to me as I was
its friend. I feed it and named it Nimueh. Nimueh was so polite and friendly. She was still
weak to collect food for herself. So, I brought food for her until she fully healed. In few
days, she recovered herself and managed food for her own. Nimueh’s main food was fish
and fish were easy to find in sea. Sometimes I rode on her back and flew up on the blue
sky. We started to spend more time with each other. She used to fly me far away and I
used to company her.
Day by day she became big and stronger. Big enough to spot on others eye. On
day, a fisherman saw us flying into the cave. I suspected that he was going to tell others
about Nimueh. So, I tried to convince her to leave the mountain and found a new safe
place to hide. But she was so stubborn to leave me. My suspicion was right. The next
day, the fisherman came to the mountain to capture Nimueh. It was the time of war. So,
if one tribe has a dragon, they will win the war for sure. That’s why those men wanted to
chain her and use her as a weapon. But dragons are not salve. They can’t be in chained.
So, she fought them. No matter how strong she is, she could not be able to defeat
hundred men with deadly weapons. After a good fight with those murderers Nimueh fell
down. They killed her before my own eye.
People are always cruel. They always love violence way. To get what they want,
they can do anything even if to murder an innocent beautiful creature which never hurt
anyone. That day I felt numb and powerless. But I learned many things. If you want to
survive this world, you have to play the way people want to play. You have to be cruel in
times of need. You have to maintain the old phrase “Treat him as he is.” This is how all
ended.
My Soulmate

My Soulmate......
I still say I Love You,
But now there's no reply.
I always feel your presence
As if you never left my side.
I remember your comforting voice,
Now there's not a sound .
Only echoes from the past
Follow me around .
You're always by my side,
But I can't hold your hand
The reason why God took you
I find hard to understand .
Summer days seem much shorter
Dark night just linger on.
Dreams trun into nightmares
When the one you love has gone.
But real love never fades .
It still burns like sun .
Although they're far way ,
Those memories go on and on.
His spirit will never die
It shines like the stars.
I know you're sleeping in heaven ,
But you're living in my heart.
..............The end....…...
Here the poem feel us the grif of the wife or lover.it expresses wife /lover deep sorrow
over her husband's departure. The separation left the wife heartbroken and longing for
her husband.
Women's are alone for the beginning of the world ..they are alone for different reasons :
A 24- years old girl is stranded when her graduated school cancels classes ; A 33-years
old has been looking for a partner but isn't having any luck . At 46 ,one woman is
realising her freedom , while another ,61 , mourns her husband's death. Some are living
alone for the first time ; Others have been alone a lifetime .women are strong but when
there's heart is broken they're also broken from inside or outside.
