15 Tests and reports Test reports must be submitted for the
following tests. Bidder must be able to
arrange provision for conducting such tests.
Following such tests shall be conducted at
the time of pre-dispatch inspection on a
sample of cable
a. Acceptance tests: Cables shall be tested in
the for HV tests IS 1554, and IR tests IS
5831 at the time of pre-dispatch inspection.
b. Conductor resistance checks and continuity
checks ( conductivity : order of 108 ohms) as
per BS 5308
c. Water immersion tests as per IS 1554 shall
also be done for sample cable of each drum
d. Thickness of insulation as well as and
physical tests for insulation and sheath
material shall be done as according to IS
5831.
e. Capacitance tests and L/R tests shall be
performed as per BS 5308 and must be
below their stipulated values as mentioned
in BS 5308
f. Noise and drain wire resistance tests : IS
8130
16 Certificates requirement Equivalent IS and BS standards must be
followed for design and manufacture of
cables

13. Tests and reports Cables shall be tested for HV tests IS 1554, and IR
tests IS 5831. Certificates of cables for water
immersion tests, thickness of insulation tests and
other physical tests of insulation and sheath materials
shall be examined.

Important Notes

1. Eligibilty criteria of bidders:.

a. Bidders must have past experience of supplying similar type of cables to a Government
organization, Public Sector Undertaking or reputed private organization in past five years, of
the order value greater than 5 lacs. He might be asked to produced user certificates of
products supplied by him. If he is not able to produce such certificates, his offer shall not be
considered.
b. Bidder must have all access to manufacture and test facility of material. Bidder must make
suitable arrangements in case purchaser wants to visit the facility to see relevant IS/IEC codes
are followed during manufacture.
c. Bidder must submit complete information about the indented items.
2. Acceptance criteria:
Bidder must submit above mentioned test report along with material. Material should conforms
to all the technical specifications of tender. All the relavant IS/IEC codes of manufacture should
be followed while fabrication of such material. At the time of pre-dispatch inspection, tests
mentioned above in technical specifications of indent shall be conducted at the time of pre-
dispatch inspection on a sample of cable i.e. HV test, IR tests, immersion tests, thickness insulation
tests, capacitance and L/R tests.

3. Delivery:
All the materials shall be properly packed and safely delivered to CSU Stores Officer, Trombay, BARC,
Mumbai without any damage during transit / transportation. Delivery period for all the materials
shall be within 90 days from the date of issue of purchase order.
4. The offer should be valid for 90 days from date of tender opening.
