Task 1

1. Analyze and critique the syllabus based on the following:

a. Content
The content of the syllabus contains all the important information and outlines the key
concepts, expected output, activities, lessons, etc., which we believe that a good syllabus should
have. It really provides a guiding map to the students towards their destined routes.
It provides context for learning and activities that will surely unlock our potentials and
skills. The presented objectives were also realistic and attainable in relation to the situation we are
facing right now.
Overall, in terms of the content of the syllabus, we could say that it is highly
recommendable because all the necessary information or the very aspect of a syllabus were all
presented and explained accordingly.

b. Relevance to the course

From its relevance, the subject-matter, the desired learning outcomes and assessment tasks
are related with the course. It is to introduce and explain the meaning of the curriculum after that
is to demonstrate and ponder. But there's only small suggestion for some simple step to be more
prepared in inducing curriculum.
We believe that the contents presented in the syllabus were all significant to the course,
especially that the subject will be focusing on curriculum development and the fundamentals of

 
creating an effective learning strategies or ideas in order to achieve the learning goals or objectives.
All the topics presented in the syllabus were all relevant to the course.
Lastly, in this subject, as stated in the syllabus, we will also learn how to make and arrange
a syllabus. Perhaps, we will soon be bolder yet constructive in critiquing a syllabus because as of
now we haven’t studied a course that is related in making a syllabus.

c. Organization/Format
The syllabus was arranged thoroughly from the basic information need in the course down
to the most important information. In terms of the physical format of the syllabus, it was all
commendable because even though it was not exported using the pdf format, still everything is
arranged and organized accordingly.
Every information in the table were arranged and it made so easy to scan and navigate. It
points about the most important information about the course especially the expected outputs and
the activities in every chapters.
Overall, in terms of organization and format, the syllabus is commendable because it
appears that all the necessary information that us, students should know were actually presented
and explained properly.

d. Grammar
As we go over the syllabus, we observed that all the sentences were grammatically correct.
All the common and possible grammar rules we know were correctly used and followed.
In the syllabus, there were no such grammatical errors we encounter, we believe that the
constructed sentences were able to follow the correct usages of any grammar rules.
By just reading it, a student may gather words or phrases that could help him or her enhance
the ability of writing as well as speaking.
