SNAP, GRID and ORTHO mode buttons

These three buttons control three of AutoCAD’s tools for ensuring precision drawing and
editing.
Snap constrains the crosshairs to regularly spaced hot spots, enabling you to draw objects a
fixed distance apart more easily.

Grid displays a series of regularly spaced dots, which serve as a distance reference.

Ortho constrains the crosshairs to horizontal and vertical movement, which makes drawing
orthogonal (straight horizontally and vertically) lines easy.

Note: Make sure to uncheck ‘Display grid beyond limits’ checkbox.

7. To configure your drawing space, go to Format from the menu bar and select Drawing Limits
(Shorthand Command: limits).
 Specify lower corner or [ON/OFF]<0.0000,0.0000>: press enter
 Specify upper right corner <12.0000,9.0000>: 22,28 (portrait)
