IE 323 Computer Application II. Credit 3(3,2). Introduction to computer applications,


databases and relational database management systems. Design and development of
databases. Management of database users and security. Introduction to front-end and its
connectivity with the database.

Course Objectives:
At the end of the course the students will be able to:
1. Define the concepts of Database, RDBMS and software applications in industrial
engineering.
2. Apply the concepts of Database, RDBMS and software applications in industrial
engineering.
3. Develop & design databases using RDBMS Tools for the solution of engineering
Problems.
4. Develop and design reports and forms using GUI tools.
5. To research, write and present technical report using modern engineering tools.

Assignments : Different assignments will be given during the course. You


need to complete the assignments and submit a hard copy
and soft copy on the date specified by the instructor.

Quiz : There will be 3 to 4 quizzes during the semester. The quiz


dates will be announced by the instructor before the
quizzes.

Computer Usage : Oracle 10g version or above, developer 10g version or above

Laboratory : Software Demonstration
