E. In this activity you are going to propose possible solutions for environmental
problems. Read about the following environmental issues, select one of the
problems and give your opinion about it.

Answer these questions and record an audio.

Problem selected: rainforest deforestation


What do you think about the problem?
The main cause of rainforest deforestation is the change of land use
to convert forests into pastures or crop fields.
2. What would be a possible solution to this?
A possible solution is to change consume behavior, comply with land
use planning, providing a strategic framework to balance land uses at
the national level.
3. Do you see this problem in your community and what do people do
about it?
Of course, the increase of monocultures has increased in the region.
In reality, governmental measures and citizen actions are scarce.
4. What will you do in the future to help solve this problem?
I will participate in the development and implementation of a public
policy that reinforces environmental education towards territorial
sustainability.
