ROBO RACE

Problem Statement

Design a wireless or wired robot within the specified dimensions that can be travel through all
turns and hurdles of the track. The robot that will complete the specified task in least time with
higher score will be the winner.

General Notifications
1. Racing arena design will be provided before the competition.
2. The arena may subject to change before the commencement of any round.
3. The structure of the robot should not be changed during the competition.
4. The robot must travel on the specified path provided in the arena.
5. This is racing event, so fastest and most balanced robot will win.
6. Robot should be as per the given specifications.
7. Each team can have maximum three members. Students from different institutes can form
a team.
8. Each member of the team must contain the identity card of his/her respected institute.
9. Judge's decision will be considered final.

Game Rules
1. The robo must complete the race within five minutes maximum.
2. There will be a single round competition (i.e. no semifinal/final round).
3. Gross width of racing path can be 30cm and maximum distance between the wheels of
robo can vary 18-24cm.
4. A penalty of -5 points will be imposed for every line touch, that will be decided by the
observing team by analyzing racing video.
5. Machine must not contain any readymade kits, pneumatic & hydraulic systems, IC
engines.
6. Decision about your robot will be taken by the organizers.
7. Organizing committee reserves the right to add or update any rule.

Arena Specification

1. A participant has/have to arrange arena by their own as per given design.


2. The design of Arena will be available at the website.
3. There may be certain hurdles on the racing track which will try to slow down the
robot.
4. Types of hurdle may include loops, disposable cups on the borders of racing path at a
specific distance etc.

Disqualification from game


1. The robot should strictly follow the specifications provided.
2. Any deviation from the mentioned specifications may lead to disqualification.
3. Unethical behavior could lead to disqualification.
4. Faculty-coordinators have all the rights to take decision for any false conduct during the
event.
5. The decision of the judges will be final and abiding. Argument with judges in any form
will lead to the disqualification of the team.

Submission Criteria
1. Video Submission: Details will be provided soon.

Grading Policy
1. Reaching to finish line without any line-touch/Technical error/ Maintenance gives 10
bonus points.
2. A penalty of -5 points will be imposed for every line touch.
3. Maximum 50 points will be awarded to complete a race.
4. Awarding of Points will be based on crossing different checkpoints on racing track
successfully.

Winning condition
Winner has to complete the race track in least specified time.
