Functions of Reclaimer

What is a Reclaimer ?
A Reclaimer is a SF6- Gas Serviceequipment

Gas losses while reclaiming SF6-Gas

Assumption: Gascompartement Size 3, 3-phase

-- Volume of gascompartement 6078 Liter total

-- Filling pressure 420 kPa abs
-- Quantity of SF6-Gas 155 kg

Final pressure 1000mbar remaining gas 36.9 kg

Final pressure 200mbar remaining gas 7.4 kg

Final pressure 50mbar remaining gas 1.8 kg

Functions of Reclaimer

The compressor-unit is feeding SF6-Gas from one

compartement into a other compartement.
Mostly from component gasroom into a tank (Bottle). Seldom from a
bottle in a gascompartement.
The compressor will always be supported by a helping unit.
actual versions: suctionpump = rotationpump

-6-
Functions of Reclaimer

The compressor-unit is can feed SF6-Gas from one

compartement into a other compartement, but in
the other direction, this without the use of „helping
unit“

This is a manual process

The vacuumpump is feeding air from a

gascompartement into the atmosphere

Functions of Reclaimer

A gas ballast valve, built in the

vacuumpump, is removing humidity from the
vacuumpump-oil to the atmosphere

A filter unit (dry- and particlefilter)

is cleaning and drying SF6-Gas
It cannot remove Air from SF6-Gas

particle filter drying filter

Functions of Reclaimer

A pre-filter unit (dry- and particle filter) ensures that no

gas which is very polluted can enter into the reclaimer.
Sametime it is cleaning and drying the gas.

Functions of Reclaimer
A evaporator (heater) is heating up SF6-gas
and ensures that no liquid gas will be filled
into a gascompartement.
It is further on heating up the gas slightely.
