1.1. ATIS
ATIS 124.130
1.2. RWY OPERATIONS
1.2.1. PREFERENTIAL RWY SYSTEM
If not directed otherwise and wind is less than 2m/sec, use RWY 30L/R.
1.2.2. RWY USAGE
RWY 12L/30R prohibited for ACFT whose wingspan is greater than 118'/36m or
main landing gear overall width greater than 30'/9m.
Use of RWY 12R/30L cleared to ACFT such as BE200, SW2, PA42, and PC6.
RWY 12R/30L prohibited for ACFT with more than 5.7 tons, turbojets, wingspan
of more than 79’/24m, main gear overall width of more than 20’/6m, or reference
take-off distance of more than 2625’/800m.
Right turn after take-off RWY 30L and RWY 12R.
Traffic circuits are prohibited for turbojet and turboprop act on West part of
APT.
1.2.3. REDUCED RWY SEPARATION
A reduced RWY separation is applied on RWY 12L/30R, under conditions laid down
in the national air traffic regulation. For single-engined propeller ACFT, or twin-
engined propeller ACFT whose weight is less than 7t, the minimum length of RWY
which must be vacated by the preceding ACFT is:
- 6562’/2000m; or
- 4921’/1500m if the preceding ACFT is airborne after departure.

1.3. TAXI PROCEDURES


TWYs J, M, T1 thru T6, V, W1, W2 and Y are restricted to ACFT with undercar-
riage width less than 30’/9m.
TWYs L1, L2, K, Q, R and S prohibited to ACFT exceeding an AUW of 5.7 metric
tons.

1.4. PARKING INFORMATION


Stands C2, C3 and D1 thru D10 push-back required.
On stand D10 autonomous exit to the right possible.
On stands B1 thru C1 push-back required, autonomous exit only with assistance
guidance.
Marshaller compulsory on every stand on aprons B, C, D, FRET and stand E1.

1.5. OTHER INFORMATION


Birds.
Site likely to be covered with sudden sea haze. Wildlife strike hazard.
Risk of turbulences on RWY 12R/30L with a strong Southwest wind.
RWY 12R and 30R right-hand circuit.

2 . AR R I V AL
2.1. NOISE ABATEMENT
Approaches on RWY 30R will be preferred up to a tailwind component of 8 KT.
Approaches on RWY 12L shall be carried out at an angle equal or greater than the
angle used for descent (6.4%) defined by PAPI.
Overflying La Grande Motte is strictly prohibited below 2000'.
ACFT arriving from SIMAR and proceeding visual approach shall maintain 4000'
till D4.0 FJR, except otherwise instructed by ATC.
On RNAV ARR GIGNA - ASTEG, ACFT proceeding visual approach shall maintain
4000' till coastline, except otherwise instructed by ATC.
Between 2200-0700LT arrivals will be performed preferably on RWY 30R, and
pilots must maintain 4000' till coastline (abeam FG) except otherwise instructed
by ATC.

3 . D E P AR T U R E
3.1. TAXI PROCEDURES
Taxiing procedure when RVR less than 800m:
Departure from aprons A, B, C, D and E1:
- RWY 12L: W2, T6.
- RWY 30R: M, T4, T3, T2, T1.
Departure from aprons E (except stand E1) and F:
- RWY 12L: L3, T4, T5, T6.
- RWY 30R: L3, T3, T2, T1.
Departure from apron G:
- RWY 12L: L2, L3, T4, T5, T6.
- RWY 30R: L2, L3, T3, T2, T1.
Use of TWYs S1 thru S5, R1, R2, L1 and L2 prohibited if RVR less than 800m.

3.2. NOISE ABATEMENT


After take-off from RWY 30R jets are to maintain take-off power settings until
1500', then adopt climbing power thrust to a speed of V2 + 10 KT until 3000'.
After take-off from RWY 30R towards SIDs BRUSC 6N and MEN 6N, join FJR R-331
as soon as possible in order to be on FJR - MEN axis at D4.0 FJR, except otherwise
instructed by ATC.
Between 2200-0700LT departures will be performed preferably from RWY 12L if
VIS is greater than 1900m and the downwind component is below 5 KT.

3.3. VISUAL DEPARTURE


To improve departure management, a RWY 30L/12R visual departure may be
authorized under the following conditions:
- in case of a FJR VOR failure;
- ceiling 2000', visibility 5000m;
- towards the WEST;
- the pilot:
- must turn as soon as possible to the WEST;
- is responsible for crossing obstacles up to 2000' minimum, and must then
comply with ATC instructions.
