having a teacher is that you can

like the teacher, you may not enjoy

I think that learning from personal

Do you like keeping fit, reading
or spending time in a relaxing
environment? If you do, you will
love the city park, which is my
favourite place to go in my city.
The city park is just outside the
city centre but it is easy to get to
from anywhere. Inside the park
there are lots of paths if you like
walking or running. There are also
many benches for sitting on. In the
summer, there are free concerts
and once a year there is a big
festival. There is an excellent zoo
as well!
People come to the park for many
reasons. I used to go running
around the park but now I use it
more for reading. There are lots

Do you like food? I do! Thinking of
my favourite dishes was difficult
because there were so many, but
I chose pizza and five-chocolate

My favourite main course is pizza.
We order it every Friday from an
Italian restaurant near our house
so my parents don’t have to cook.
We usually buy two giant pizzas,
one with meat and another one
with vegetables. I do not eat the
vegetarian pizza because the one
with pepperoni and chicken is
delicious. I like it because the base
is thin and crunchy and the meat
is a little bit spicy. I do not think
pizzas are healthy but these are

My favourite dessert ever is one
called five-chocolate cake. We had

again soon. I love chocolate even
though it is not healthy!

2 MOUNTAIN RESCUE
Jenny and Tom had almost reached
the top of the mountain when Tom
fell over. They had been climbing
for four hours in Wales. They
had been talking excitedly about
reaching the top when the accident
happened.
‘Are you OK?’ Jenny asked.
‘No, it’s my ankle. I think I’ve
sprained it.’ Tom replied.
‘We need to decide what to do, Tom.’
‘Let’s continue,’ Tom said. ‘I want
to reach the top and take photos of
the view.’
Jenny helped Tom get up and they
walked a few metres more but Tom
was not happy.
‘I’m sorry, I can’t walk. What are we
going to do?’
‘I’m going to call for help,’ Jenny
replied.
Jenny phoned the emergency
number she had put in her mobile
that morning. She explained the
situation and was told that a rescue
team would come. Forty minutes
later a helicopter appeared and
landed nearby. Two men ran
towards them and helped Tom into
the helicopter. They told Jenny to
get in too.
When they were in the air, Tom
took out his mobile, smiled at Jenny
and took the best photo he had
ever taken.
