Sardar Asaad Bakhtiari was an Iranian revolutionary and chieftain of the Bakhtiari Haft Lang tribe born in 1856 in Iran who died in 1917 in Iran. He was the third son of Hossein Gholi Khan and played a key role in the Persian Constitutional Revolution. In 1909, Bakhtiari tribal forces under his command, with help from modern arms supplied by the German Empire, successfully captured Tehran to force the central government to establish democratic reforms.

In 1909, Bakhtiari tribal forces under his command with help of modern arms from German Empiresuccessfully captured Tehran as part of the revolutionary campaign to force the central government to establish democratic reforms.
