My Diagram in A Drum
My Diagram in A Drum
This activity will be done with a partner. Illustrate through a diagram your own
understanding of the different phases of Technology Integration Planning Model.
Explain why you have designed your diagram that way.
We decided to design our diagram as a staircase that we often see in a school. Like the rooms
above we cannot reach it without a ladder or a staircase to pass. As well as learning a child or
teaching children, we cannot just teach them all throughout, we need plans and step by step
processes for them to learn. Therefore, we decide that this is the design because every step in
the staircase will be the guide and lead to our goals.
Each step showed our progress. We can't jump to the next step until we're not done on
the first one. If we will analyse the first step, it is the Phase 1 which is the Analysis of Learning
and Technology needs. In phase 1, we need to know what are the things that our students know
and what are not. We, teachers need to fulfil them with learning and clear the questions inside
their head for them to lessen the confusions. In this phase, we need to observe to have an idea of
where and what the weaknesses of our students are and what appropriate technology to use for
them to cope up and easily understand the lesson.
When we already know their knowledge and weakness and we solved it, we can now
proceed to the Phase 2, which is Planning for Integration. Here, we can now create and think for
our objectives. Because every action that we need to do should have a result. The creative skills
of the teachers will be seen here, on how the teacher will integrate the technology to learn our
learners. The teacher will think of an appropriate strategy and preparation that will be used to
execute for the students.
After the Phase 2, we can now proceed to the step 3 or Phase 3, which is Post-instruction
Analysis and Revision. It is more on reviewing the result, if there's changes and we will notice
how effective our strategies have been and how we execute them. We need to always check the
results if there's progress for our learners. And for us to think more strategically that is appropriate
to our learners. It's more analysis of the results and it needs to change.
