‘STATEMENT OF TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS ING! HT LINE “WINDOW WIPER 1. Scope: This statement of requirement covers the manufacturing, ‘testing and onboard commissioning of Single Phase, Straight line, 3 speed window wiper for use an board IN ships. The design is to cater for severe ‘environmental and marine conditions. 2. Quantity. The number of window wipers required on each ship will differ from ship to ship and the exact numbers will be specified in the Tender specifications. 3. Scope of Supply. The following will comprise the scope of supply for cone window wiper: (©) Single phase three speed motor with suitable fitment arrangement. (b) Suitable worm reduction Gear Box for reducing the drive from motor to the drive pulley. (©) Wiper Contra! Unit to provide centralised control of all window wi ot Blade Arm assembly complete with Blade for transmitting the drive from drive pulley to the wiping blade. «& General Requirements. The Window Wiper assembly alongwith motor and reduction gearbox shall be suitable for fitment to the inner side of the lass window to be wiped, The motor drive through suitable reduction worm shall be ‘tronsmitted to the wiper blade (to be fitted outside) whilst maintaining the wates tight integrity of the compartment. The complete assembly shall have minimum weight to the extent possible without compromising on the operational requirements of the equipment. 5. Technical Requirements. The window wiper should conform to the following technical requirements: (@) Motor. The window wiper motor should be suitable to operate ‘on 230 V 50 Hz I Ph/ 115 V'60 Hz 1 Phas specified and shall conform ‘to the under mentioned specifications and also as specified in the "Tender Specifications. (The motor should be single phase, three speed, enclosed surface cooled type and of S-1 duty. Gi) Ingress Protection-IP 56/57 Gil) Weight should not exceed 4.5 Kg (iv) Insulation Het/Cold should be more than 10 M ohms. ()__ Motor should be provided with suitable sealed bearings with appropriate lubrication for both DE/NDE having at least 40,000 working hours as the life of the bearings. Environmental Conditions. The equipment offered for marine applications shall achieve specified output and function smoothly under tropical conditions. Onboard Spares, An itemised list of OBS and special tools which will be supplied with the main equipment, are to be furnished along with the quotation for the main equipment. The OBS shell cater for onboard maintenance routines and possible repairs by ship's staff. The OBS should include the following:- (@) _Allspares required for exploitation upto 2 years. (©) One set of general-purpose maintenance tools. (©) One set of special tools required for dis-assembling/assembling ‘of components to carry out repair by replacement. 18. Five-Year Base & Depot Spares/Comprehensive Part Lists. Base spares recommendation is to cover maintenance/overhaul requirements for £ years including two refits, Itemised cost of BAD spares are to be forwarded with the main offer. 19.
