d. Passing of Assignment
Class, kindly bring out your
assignment and pass it forward
without making unnecessary noise. (students are passing their
assignment)
e. Reviewing Previous Lesson
What was transpired last meeting?
Last meeting we discussed all about
the parts of computer hardware.
Very Good…
Who can give me an example of the
part of computer hardware?
Insert anser sa part of hardware dre
sir.
Excellent..
Do you have any question, before we
proceed to our new lesson? None sir.

II- Establishing Purpose for the lesson

Teacher will present the lesson
objective. Reading lesson objective that must be
attain at the end of the lesson.

Lesson
Instruction sir if asa ni nka flash ha.. What can you say about the pictures?
Class, I have here different pictures. Can you identify each picture?

IV- Activity-
I will divide the group into three. Each
group will select a leader, secretary, and
reporter to report your output afterwards, the
reporter will follow the standard in reporting.
You will be given only five minutes to do
your activity.
I will present to you first the rubrics for you
to be guided with your activity.

Insert dre rubrics sir. ngetae ug lahi sa internet..

None sir.
Do you have any question or clarification
regarding our rubrics?

This time I will give you one minute to settle

with your respective groups. Proceed Student are doing their activity
silently. All you have to do is to identify all
the parts of the System Unit in 5 minutes.
Paste your answer in a manila paper.
Students will present their output
of the Parts of System Unit.

Teacher will evaluate the report of each

group using the rubrics. Group 1- 95, Group 2- 92,
Announce the points of each group. Group 3-94

V- Analysis:

How do you find the activity?

We enjoyed it sir
How did you get the correct answer? With the cooperation and shared ideas
from the members of the group we
come up with the correct answer.

What difficulties you have encountered? At first, we find it hard to identify just
because we are not sure of our
answers, but accepting each ideas and
opinions we come up with the correct
one.

It is important for us to develop more

our knowledge and practical skills
needed also in the preparation of the
future operations in computer
application.
VI- Presentation of the Lesson sir ibutang sa box ang kaning topic

The Parts of System Unit and Its Function

System Unit

 is sometimes called the chassis, also known as the computer case.

 is an enclosure that houses most of the components of a computer
including the motherboard, input and output ports, power supply hard
Disk and etc.

Components of System Unit

1. Motherboard
2. Power Supply
3. Hard Disk
4. CD/DVD Drive
5. Central Processing Unit
6. MEMORY
7. Video Card
8. Sound Card
9. Heat Sink and CPU fan

1. Motherboard

The motherboard is the core of the system. It is the main circuit board.

2. Power Supply
 it supply power to all components of motherboard , hard drive and
CD/DVD ROM.
 this will convert the Alternate Current (AC) to Direct Current(DC).

3. Hard Disk
• is a data storage device used for storing and retrieving information.
• Data is read in a random access manner.
4. CD/DVD Drive
 Is where the CD or DVD disk is inserted.
 It can read and write data in the disk.

5. Central Processing Unit

 CPU is the central electronic chip that determines the processing power of
the computer.
 is the hardware within a computer that carries out the instructions of a
computer program by performing the basic arithmetical, logical, and
input/output operations of the system

6. Memory

The system memory is often called RAM (for random access memory). This
is the primary memory, which holds all the programs and data the processor
is using at a given time.

7. Video Card

The video card controls the information you see on the monitor.

8. Sound Card

A sound card lets a computer play and record high quality sound and generate
complex sounds.

9. CPU fan and Heat sink

•  is a passive heat exchanger that cools a device by dissipating heat into the
surrounding.

VII- Application:

- As a student how important it is for

you to correctly identify the parts of It is important for us to develop more our
the system unit? knowledge and practical skills needed also in
the preparation of the future operations in
computer application.

- How applicable it is especially in

your daily life?
Yes, It is very applicable, since we are
advancing to new trends of technology.
Identifying the parts of system unit might be
one of the keys to promote the proper usage of
computer.
VIII- Abstraction:

What are the parts of system unit? Anser pod dre

Can we operate the system without
motherboard?

Or add lng dre question sir ha

IX- Evaluation:

Instruction: Read the questions carefully and

identify the correct answer in the given
question. Write your answer on the space
provided.

__________1. It is a temporary storage of

documents.
__________2. It is the brain of computer.
__________3. It provides and control the
current that flows in the
components or devices
inside the system unit.
__________4. It is an advance graphic display
for videos, images and games. Possible answer dre sir…
__________5. Is a permanent storage of data?

Assignment/Additional Activities: List all the parts of motherboard.
