As we know, Indonesia is currently one of hundreds of countries infected with Covid-

19. According to the Indonesian president, Mr. Joko Widodo the Covid-19 case in Indonesia
was revealed after a Japanese citizen report that was stated positive and became a problem
because the Japanese citizen had just visited Indonesia. After that, the government immediately
conducted a search for anyone who made contact with these patients. It turns out that people
affected by the corona virus are related to two people, a 64-year-old mother and her 31-year-
old daughter who lives in Depok, West Java. The two men were immediately referred to RSPI
Sulianti Saroso to undergo various medical tests, and a few days later tested positive for Covid-
19.

Since the first case was announced, the Covid-19 positive case rate has continued to
surge. Based on the Covid-19 development chart, it was noted that from 9 March 2020 to 13
April 2020 the increase in the number of cases continued to increase, while the number of
deaths and healings was still below the 1000 cases but continued to grow even though not in
high numbers. The largest addition to the number of case confirmations occurred on Sunday,
April 12, 2020, which touched 400 cases in one day. In addition, the highest number of deaths
occurred on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, with 60 cases and the highest number of healing cases
occurred on Sunday, April 12, 2020, with 73 cases.

As of Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 16:30 WIB the number of positive cases in Indonesia
had reached 4,839 with an additional total of +282 cases from the previous day. 3,954 patients
were treated with a percentage of 81,711% of the confirmed data, then 459 people died with a
percentage of 9,485% of the confirmed data and 426 people were cured with a percentage of
8,803% of the confirmed data. From the exposure of Covid-19 data, the province that most
dominated the spread of Covid-19 cases was DKI Jakarta, with 2335 confirmed cases, 241 died
and 163 were cured. Whereas the provinces with the least spread of Covid-19 cases were
Gorontalo and East Nusa Tenggara, with one confirmed case.

Currently, there have been many efforts made by the government to prevent the spread
of Covid-19, including closing public facilities, eliminating learning activities in educational
facilities (schools, campuses), large-scale social restrictions (PSBB), requiring the use of masks
and others. This was done in order to minimize the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia. This
pandemic has caused many losses to various parties, one of which is factory workers who were
dismissed due to restrictions on social activities. In addition, this pandemic also causes global
socioeconomic disruptions such as delays or cancellations of sporting and cultural events and
widespread concerns about shortages of goods which encourage panic or rushed purchases.
Therefore, our role as citizens is that we must always carry out the appeal of the government
so that this pandemic ends soon and social life can return to normal.
