MY FATHER IS MY MOTIVATION
My father name is Abdurrahman, was born in the village of Pekan Sabtu, Bengkulu on July 16,
1970. He is the 4th of 8 children and the first son in his family. My father has 5 sisters, 1
brother, and the last younger (8th) died at birth. His father was named Ibrahim and his mother
was named Rosnaini.
He studied at SDN 76 Pekan Saturday, then went to school at Pagar Dewa Junior High School.
After graduating from junior high school, he continued his education at the Bengkulu
Mechanical Engineering School (STM) and graduated in 1990.
After graduating from STM in 1990, he continued his education to the College of Information
and Computer Management (STMIK) until 1994 and worked at the daily Pagi Koran Semarak
Bengkulu as a layout designer until 1995. In 1995, he moved to Palembang because he was
trusted to develop letters Sumatra Express news in Palembang. There, he served as IT and
advertising design until 2001. In 2009, he moved to Lampung to work for the daily newspaper
Radar Lampung as the company's leader until now. From 2001 to 2009 he worked in two places
at once, namely in Sumatra Ekspress and Radar Lampung.
Since childhood he was an independent child. At night, he helps his father go to the sea to catch
fish, then in the morning the fish he catches are sold to markets and houses until they run out.
After that, he went to school. The distance from the house to the school was approximately 4
km and the existence of public transportation was still rare at that time. This did not discourage
my father from going to school.
In 2002 my father married my mother. They were blessed with three children. As the head of
the family, my father always worked hard to support his wife and three children. She always
works hard day and night to give the best to her family, and she also often makes time for her
children. He always gives the principles of life to his children and always tries to achieve their
goals. He motivated us children to learn and study as high as possible, hoping his children could
be much better than him.
