Dickinson High School Families,

It is with deep regret we inform you about a recent student loss of a young man to our school
community over the weekend. This loss is sure to raise many emotions, concerns, and
questions for our entire school, especially our students.

As a school, we are doing everything we can to support all students and staff. Our hearts are
grieving. We know this event will profoundly affect everyone who knew this young man, but
we also know that every student at Dickinson High School will be touched in some way by this
news.

We need your assistance. Our school counselors are working with students and staff on campus
to provide support, comfort, and reassurance to those who need support. However, if you feel
your child would benefit from spending time with counselors, please encourage them to reach
out to us or let us know how we can help.

Our hearts and thoughts are with the student’s family, friends, and loved ones as they cope with
this tremendous personal loss.
