Health Advances that changed the World

Instructions:

1. Fill out the attached sheet that gives information about the invention you are
assigned. Please do your own research on your health issue
2. Create a 2/5 minute presentation about your assigned invention that includes a
picture of the invention that everyone can see.
3. Due Date:

Requirements:

1. Attached sheet must be completely filled out with accurate information in one’s
own words. If you quote something please make sure to mention where the quote
comes from.
2. A clear picture of the invention must be shown to the class. Everyone needs to be
able to see the picture. (Suggestion: have copies of the picture to pass around or
have your picture on a power point)
3. Presentation should contain the following…
a. Name of the health advance/discovery
b. Name of the scientist/discovery group/doctor
c. Date invented/impacted or needed
d. Clear description of how the health advance works
e. Clear explanation of how the health invention impacted America
f. Whether or not the health invention is still used today
4. Presentation must keep the attention of the audience.
5. Speaker must speak with appropriate tone, volume, and eye contact
6. Presentation must be 2 minutes long. Speakers will remain standing until the 2
minute time limit is up.
7. Power points are not required, but recommended. Please test your power point on
Mr.Bills’ laptop at least a day before presentation to make sure it is compatible.

8. If you will not be here for the presentation days, then you will have to complete
your presentation prior to your absence.
