Zalora On The Lookout for A New CEO

Singapore - Zalora is one of the most famous online retailers by Rocket Internet SE, a

Parker Gundersen, the CEO, joined the company in 2016 with his stellar reputation of 15 years
of experience in the retail industry. He has closely worked with the leadership team to cultivate
the trademark and has grown the overall profitability of the company. According to Gundersen in

Before joining Zalora he worked at travel retail subsidiary of Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton which
is the DFS Group. Gundersen is set to leave the company at the end of May this year. Quoting
his reason for leaving the company as personal and is looking forward to being able to spend
more time with his family. He gave the biggest part in making Zalora the position of being the
leading online retail shop in Southeast Asia. As Zalora evolved in the fashion world also proved
and established its position the fashion industry Their stronger relationship with its business
partners paved the way for strengthening its position in the market.

The year 2016 was considered to be the strongest year for Zalora’s operation in the Southeast
Asia region. On April 2016, it was proved that the Vietnam and Thailand operations’ sale had
the biggest retail in the Central Group. While last February 2017, the massive Ayala group in the
Philippines bought 49% of the company’s operation in the country.

In a past interview, Gundersen contradicted the reports that Zalora is selling its enterprise in
Indonesia. He also highlighted that the acquiring of the operations in the Philippines was an
entirely disparate situation with what was happening in the Vietnam and Thailand operations.

Zalora is on the search for Gundersen’s replacement and is currently being worked on.
According to Zalora spokesperson, they will make the announcement as soon as they are able
to identify the right person suitable for the position.
