SCENE ONE
SHARON’S HOME

PICK IT UP FROM PREVIOUS EPISODE

ON FRIDAY. REY HAS JUST FAINTED
ON THE COUCH. SHARON RUSHES OVER
TO HIM, TRYING TO WAKE HIM.

SHARON
Rey! Rey! Come on! Come on!
Wake up, honey. Wake up!

SHE REALIZES THAT WHAT SHE IS

DOING IS NOT WORKING. SHE THEN
RUSHES OVER TO THE DESK AND
PICKS UP HER CELL PHONE. SHE
QUICKLY DIALS 9-1-1.

SHARON (CON’T)
Hi, this is Sharon Rosales. I
need an ambulance at my home,
421 Larkspur Trail, Highway B.
It’s on the Newman Ranch.
Please hurry! My husband just
collapsed!

SHARON LOOKS ON AT REY, WORRIED.

SCENE TWO
JABOT CEO OFFICE

KYLE IS SITTING BEHIND HIS DESK,

LOOKING AT THE PICTURE OF HARRISON
LOCKE ON HIS LAPTOP. THEN, THERE
IS A KNOCK.

KYLE
(CALLING OUT)
Come in!

KYLE CLOSES THE LAPTOP AS SALLY

ENTERS, CARRYING A FEW FILES.

KYLE (CON’T)
I have got to remember to
not send my assistant
home so early. They’ve got
to warn me when a monster
is at my door.

SALLY
Don’t worry, I’m not Ashland
Locke coming to tear your
face off. I just have a few
budgetary projections for
you to look over. Lauren
wants Jabot to loosen up
the purse strings just a
bit. She has some big ideas
for the upcoming quarter.

KYLE
Stop it, Sally.

SALLY
(AWKWARD LAUGH)
What now, Kyle?
3.
KYLE
I don’t want to talk business
with you right now.

SALLY
Really? Well, what exactly
do you want to talk about?

KYLE
Tara. And how you’re trying
to be her BFF.

SALLY
We already had this talk at
Crimson Lights.

KYLE
But only you got to say
your peace. However, it
is my turn now. And I’m
not letting you walk out
of here until I say what
I need to.

SCENE THREE
GRAND PHOENIX - LOBBY

ASHLAND IS SITTING AT THE BAR,

HAVING A SCOTCH. HE IS LOOKING
OVER THE PROPOSALS FROM ADAM,
VICTORIA, AND BILLY.

ASHLAND
Well, I guess the time has
come to make my choice. I
know who will carry on the
future of Cyaxares.

AS ASHLAND TAKES A SIP OF HIS

DRINK, JILL SUDDENLY BARGES INTO
THE HOTEL, TALKING ON HER CELL
PHONE.

JILL
And, you can go ahead and
tell Mr. Jones that I am
going to take a break for
once in my life, and spend
some time with my family.
They need me here in Genoa
City. A meeting with that
low-life can wait.

JILL THEN HANGS UP THE PHONE AND

GOES TO THE BAR.

JILL (CON’T)
Martini -- dirty. Extra olives.

THE BARTENDER BEHIND THE COUNTER

NODS TO JILL, AND BEGINS TO MAKE
HER DRINK.
5.
ASHLAND
Oh -- put it on my tab, by
the way.

JILL
Thank you. That’s very kind
of you.

ASHLAND
Well, I can’t exactly let a
beautiful woman like yourself
pay for her own drink.

ASHLAND AND JILL SMILE AT ONE

ANOTHER.

FADE TO MAIN TITLES.

SCENE ONE
NEWMAN RANCH

ASHLEY AND VICTOR ENTER THE

LIVING ROOM.

ASHLEY
You know, I was surprise to
get a call from you.

VICTOR
Really?

ASHLEY
Yes. I mean, we already had
a great talk about Abby at
Crimson Lights that one day.
I already know that we’re
both in this together.

VICTOR
Damn right we are. But -- I
did not call you over here
to talk about Abby.

ASHLEY
Really? Well, now you have
me intrigued, Victor. What
is going on?

VICTOR
To tell you the truth,
Ashley, I want to bring you
home to Genoa City. And I’m
not going to take ‘no’ for
an answer.

SCENE ONE
NEWMAN ENTERPRISES - CEO OFFICE

PICK IT UP FROM VICTORIA COMING

AROUND THE DESK AND GOING TO A
NOW STANDING BILLY.

BILLY
Seriously, Victoria? You’re
still in love with me? That
is why you’ve been throwing
obstacle after obstacle in
my relationship with Lily?

VICTORIA
I haven’t been throwing
obstacle after obstacle
at you and Lily.

BILLY
That’s bull and we both know
it. Remember Valentine’s Day?
Remember when you and your
mom were supposed to go on
a short vacation? You have
blocked me and Lily time and
time again.

VICTORIA
Fine. I guess you make a
good point. Billy,
regardless of what I’ve
done to you and Lily, I
just want you to know that
I’m trying to come from a
place of honesty right now.
I’m trying to be real with
you.
8.
BILLY
And I can admire you for
that. But I just don’t
know if I can be with you,
Victoria.

VICTORIA
(TAKEN ABACK)
What?

BILLY
We’ve been with one another
so many times through the
years. Yet, every time we
come close to thinking that
we have our so-called happy
ending, one of us does
something to screw everything
up. I go back to my addiction.
You side with your father on
something that shuts me out.
We’ve done this song and dance
too many times. Victoria, we
are grown people now. Isn’t
it a little too late to keep
doing this?

VICTORIA
Are you saying you don’t
have feelings for me, Billy?
Are you saying that what we
had doesn’t matter anymore?

BILLY
No. That’s not what I’m saying.
We have children together. We
built a life together for many
years. We got through the death
of Delia. We got through parts
(CONTINUED)
9.
of my addiction that were so
dark and depressing. Hell, we
even made it through your dad
having you arrested on our
wedding day, when we married
one another the first time!

VICTORIA
You know Billy, the first
person that I ever told
that I still had feelings
for you was my mom. I --
I kinda broke down in front
of her about it. That’s
because she really made me
examine as to why I still
had these feelings for you.
Billy, I’m lonely. And I
know that I might sound
overly desperate right now.
However, you are standing
in front of me right now.
You are the man that I have
fought for time and time
again. Like you said, we
have children. We built a
home together. We --

BILLY
Vic -- (voice breaking) it
is my belief that what we
had is now in the past.

VICTORIA
(VOICE BREAKING)
Wow. Damn, you have wasted
no time just ripping off
the band-aid.
10.
BILLY
I’m sorry if this it is
hurting you right now to
hear this. But, I think
it needs to be said. I
wanted you back a long
time ago, Vic. I fought
my way out of that coma
to come back to you. When
there were people who
wanted to pull my plug,
I knew that I had to try
and hang on. I knew that
I had to be there for you
and for the kids. I won
that fight. I did! But we
did not last longer than
what feels like a
millisecond. I have moved
on. I am falling in love
with Lily. And I won’t
apologize for that. And I
won’t give that up. I’m
sorry that you can’t accept
that.

BILLY THEN WALKS OUT OF THE ROOM,

SLAMMING THE DOOR BEHIND HIM.
VICTORIA BREAKS DOWN IN TEARS A
LITTLE.

SCENE ONE
GENOA CITY MEMORIAL - WAITING ROOM

SHARON IS SITTING, BOUNCING HER

LEG UP AND DOWN. HER NERVES ARE
ALL OVER THE PLACE. ELENA THEN
ENTERS THE ROOM, SHARON STANDS.
THEY GO TO ONE ANOTHER.

SHARON
Elena, hi.

ELENA
Hi, Sharon.

SHARON
How -- how is my husband?

ELENA
He’s stable. He’s asleep
right now. And you can
see him anytime you would
like.

SHARON
(SIGH OF RELIEF)
Thank God. But, I still
don’t understand what
happened to him. Do you?

ELENA
Yes, I know what happened to
Rey. It would appear he had
some sort of major panic
attack. I don’t know what
brought it on. But --
12.
SHARON
I do. (voice breaking) We
had our first marriage
counseling session today.
And it all ended up in a
big fight of sorts. It was
awful, Elena. It didn’t go
the way I expected it to
for a second. I feel like
this is my fault. I should
have never agreed to that
therapy session! I should
have never brought up his
ex-wife in that session!
I should’ve never allowed
Adam into our lives! I
should’ve never kissed
Adam that night at Society!
I should’ve never let my
daughter feel as though
she couldn’t turn to me!
I --

ELENA
Sharon, I don’t know what
is going on in your life.
Yes, I saw the picture of
you and Adam on social
media. But I don’t know
the story. What I do know,
is that you need to calm
down, okay? Rey was clearly
overloaded. That is what
brought on his panic attack.
That could happen for you
as well.

SHARON
You’re right. I -- I need
to calm down.
13.
ELENA
Would you like to come with
me and see Rey right now?

SHARON
Yes -- yes I would. Thank
you, Elena.

ELENA
Of course. Come on.

ELENA PUTS AN ARM AROUND SHARON

AND THE WOMEN WALK OFF.

GRAND PHOENIX - LOBBY

PICK IT UP WITH JILL TAKING

A SIP OF HER MARTINI.

JILL
Thank you for the martini,
Ashland.

ASHLAND
You’re welcome. And I have
not even introduced myself
yet. How on Earth did you
know my name?

JILL
Seriously? You’re the Ashland
Locke. I’ve read about you in
papers for decades. Also, you
clearly have not done enough
homework on this town to know
who I am. That’s pretty sad,
considering you had a meeting
with my son this morning.

ASHLAND
Your son?

JILL
Billy Abbott. Yet, he told me
you knew everything about his
father, considering you closed
some deal with John back in the
day.
15.
ASHLAND
(LAUGHS)
My, my, my, I guess I should
have done a little more
homework. I wish I would’ve
found my way to you a little
bit sooner.

JILL
Why do you say that, Ashland?

ASHLAND
Because, you are absolutely
irresistible. And I’ve only
known you for about ten
minutes.

JILL
Aren’t you flattering. By
the way, you shouldn’t be
hitting on me, considering
you’re married. And I’ve
been down that road before.
At this stage in my life,
it’s not a road I want to
travel down again.

ASHLAND
I was simply admiring you.

JILL
I bet.

ASHLAND
So, you mentioned that you
have been down a certain
road before. I would love
to buy you another drink,
and hear all about --
16.
JILL SUDDENLY STANDS FROM HER
CHAIR AND PICKS UP HER PURSE
FROM THE BAR COUNTER.

JILL
I’m actually gonna stop
you right there. I have
an appointment to get to.

ASHLAND
Really?

JILL
Yeah.

ASHLAND
That’s too bad.

JILL
Oh, and if you want to
know something about me,
then do your homework,
just as I pointed out.

ASHLAND
What should I look you up
under?

JILL
(SLIGHT LAUGH)
Abbott -- Fenmore -- Newman
-- Brooks -- Chancellor --

JILL THEN LOOKS AT HER WRIST

WATCH.

JILL (CON’T)
I don’t think I have enough
time to tell you my other
last names.
17.
ASHLAND
I get the picture.

JILL
I bet you do.

ASHLAND
Well, have a good day, Jill
Abbott, Fenmore, Chancellor --

JILL
I get it. Bye now.

JILL WALKS OFF, AS ASHLAND

SMILES ON AT HER.

VICTORIA IS STANDING AT THE

BAR CART, POURING A GLASS OF
WATER. SHE WIPES AWAY A TEAR,
AND THEN TAKES A SIP. NIKKI
ENTERS FROM THE SLIGHTLY
AJARED DOOR.

NIKKI
Darling, I hope you have
a second. I need to speak
with you about Cyaxares.
I --

AS NIKKI GOES UP TO VICTORIA,

SHE CAN SENSE THAT SOMETHING
IS OFF.

VICTORIA
Mom -- I -- I don’t have
time right now. I --

NIKKI
Victoria, what’s going on?

VICTORIA
I don’t know what you mean.
I just have a lot to do. I
have a conference call in a
few hours, that I desperately
need to prep for. I --

NIKKI
Darling, I can see that you
have been crying. My God,
what has happened?
19.
VICTORIA
I guess I can’t keep a darn
thing from you, can I?

NIKKI
No, you cannot.

VICTORIA
(SIGHS)
I had a visit with Billy.

NIKKI
What happened?

VICTORIA
I told him that I still
loved him, Mom. I told
him how I really felt.
And he turned me down.
He doesn’t feel the same
way. He just -- he feels
as though we’re in the
past. So far in the past
that we can’t get back to
any part of how we used
to be. And -- dammit --
I think he’s right.

NIKKI
Come here, honey.

NIKKI AND VICTORIA HUG ONE ANOTHER.

VICTORIA
I just feel so stupid for
going down this road in
the first place.
20.
NIKKI
Don’t ever call yourself
stupid, Victoria. Your
feelings matter, regardless
of what someone else says.

VICTORIA
Thanks for saying that, mom.

NIKKI
It’s the truth. And you
need to know that it is.

VICTORIA
(SIGHS)
I have a question.

NIKKI
I have an answer.

VICTORIA
Good. Because, I desperately
need someone to answer this
question for me. What the
hell do I do now, mom? What
do I do in this life?

SCENE FOUR
CHANCELLOR COMMUNICATIONS - BILLY’S OFFICE

PICK IT UP WITH BILLY STANDING

AT A BAR CART IN HIS OFFICE,
POURING HIMSELF A GLASS OF
SCOTCH. AS HE TAKES A SIP, WE
SEE LILY ENTER THE ROOM, FROM
THE SLIGHTLY OPENED DOOR.

LILY
Rough day?

BILLY
What can I say? I just love
this Valentine’s Day gift
you got me.

LILY
I know you do. But here you
are -- drinking alone. And
I know you well enough that
to know when you do such a
thing, it means that
something is bothering you.

BILLY THEN TURNS AROUND, GOES

TO LILY.

BILLY
I guess you do know me.

LILY
What’s going on in that
head of yours?

BILLY
(SIGHS)
I -- I went to go see
Victoria.
22.
LILY
Really? About what?

BILLY
I felt as though I needed to
see her after her meeting with
Ashland. I needed to know the
real reason she wanted Cyaxares.
Lily, I feel as though her
making that pitch was more
about sticking it to Victor
and Adam, then anything.

LILY
You had mentioned such a
thing before. Anyway, what
did she have to say for
herself?

BILLY
She basically admitted it.
She called Adam out for
being the snake that he is.
In truth, however, she
believes that Adam is so
gung-ho about this deal,
that he’ll do anything to
win. She views him as a
threat. A big one, at that.

LILY
I mean, I can understand why.
Victoria and Adam have never
been BFFs. They have always
had a terrible sibling
relationship. Which I can
understand the basis of that,
as well. Yet, I doubt that’s
the reason why you’re drinking
(CONTINUED)
23.
alone. You’ve overcome a lot
where your history with Adam
is concerned. So, once again,
I have to ask you; why are
you drinking alone?

BILLY
Um -- as Victoria and I got
to talking, some other things
popped in our conversation.
We discussed my history and
my mistakes. I had mentioned
to her that Ashland had
brought up my past addiction
in our meeting. I also tried
to let Victoria know how far
I have come. But -- judging
by her expression, I think
she believes me beating my
addiction is only temporary.

LILY
It would be foolish of her
to believe such a thing. I
know that you have worked
very hard to get past your
addiction. Hell, Jill gave
us this division of
Chancellor, because she
believed in you that much!

BILLY
Thank you for saying that.

LILY
It’s the truth. Now, please
tell me you left the moment
you felt as though Victoria
didn’t believe in the
progress you have made. You
(CONTINUED)
24.
don’t need that kind of
negativity in your life.
You only need positive
vibes, and people who
truly do believe in you.

BILLY
You know, I should’ve left
at that point. But I didn’t.
I couldn’t.

LILY
Why is that?

BILLY
Because, Victoria revealed
something to me that had me
so shocked, that I felt the
need to stay -- and discuss
it with her.

LILY
What? Billy, what did she
say to you?

BILLY
She said that she still
loved me.

LILY
(TAKEN ABACK)
Oh -- oh my God. Wow. She
just doesn’t know when to
quit. You know, this does
not surprise me. Not in
the least. She has not let
us have one moment together
for these past few months.
She has interrupted our
lives time and time again.
25.
BILLY
I actually said kinda the
same thing to her.

LILY
Does that mean you --

BILLY
I told her off, Lily. We
had a ‘come to Jesus’
moment, if you will. I
let her know that I love
you.

LILY
I love you too, Billy. And
I’m glad that you’re not
letting Victoria get in the
way of what we share.

BILLY
Such a thing won’t happen.
I can promise you that.

DOWN HER FILES ON THE DESK.

SALLY
Go ahead, Kyle. I can’t
wait to hear your inner-
thoughts on the whole
‘Tara becoming my new
BFF’ situation.

KYLE
Is this a joke to you?!

SALLY
I don’t know what to call
it. But this whole
situation is pretty damn
funny.

KYLE
Oh yeah? What makes you
say that?

SALLY
Kyle, when Theo told me
about your affair, and
about this child, I will
admit that I was on a
huge high. You and Summer
have had it out for me
ever since I came to this
town. My God, all I had
to do was step foot in
this building, for you
to hate me. This whole
(CONTINUED)
27.
Tara thing puts us on quite
the even playing field.
It puts you on notice too.
It makes you look at
yourself in such in the
most harsh of light.

KYLE
You think so?

SALLY
I know so. And you want
to know what I find the
most funny of this whole
thing? Is that you feel
the need to blame
everybody else for the
walls closing in on you.
You couldn’t keep it in
your pants. You just had
to have a married woman.
You just had to sample
Tara Locke. Yet, you
think that everyone,
including Summer, has
to walk around on
eggshells, while Ashland
is in town. So, if you
want to say your peace,
Kyle, then go right
ahead. I’ll pour us
both a cup of coffee. I
will turn on my listening
ears. But I’ll be damned
if you’re gonna stand
there and blame me for
your affair.
28.
KYLE
I gotta hand it to you,
Sally. You sure do make
quite the case for
yourself, when you’re
holding a secret over
someone’s head. I get
where you’re coming from.
I do. Maybe -- just --
maybe the truth was bound
to come out one day. Yet,
if you hadn’t been so
desperate to one-up me,
then this secret could’ve
stayed buried. I do admire
you, however. Teaming up
with Theo to get back at
me and Summer. That was
smart. It’s like that
time you teamed up with
that Doctor Escobar lady
to get back at Wyatt
Spencer for moving on
with Flo Fulton.

SALLY
There’s so much you don’t
know about that baby-
snatching slut.

KYLE
Talk about holding a grudge.
My oh my.

SALLY
You know all about holding
grudges too, Kyle. Don’t
you dare act like you’re
high and mighty. I mean,
you took that underaged

Zoe girl out for a joyride.
You once dug up the grave
of Phillip Chancellor the
Second with your father. I
mean, you’ve had your fair
share of fun through the
years. Yet, you know, come
to think of it, I get why
you always get a free pass.
You were the son Jack Abbott
chose. Sure, you had to be
poor for a bit when you were
raised by your mom. However,
your dad never abandoned you
like he did his other son --
Keemo.

KYLE
Where is all this coming
from? How the hell do you
know so much about my
family? I know that my dad
would’ve never brought all
of this up in some casual
conversation.

SALLY
Oh, please, Kyle. You and
Summer aren’t the only ones
with good investigating
skills. (laughs) You don’t
think I did my research
before moving here?

KYLE
Stalk people much?
30.
SALLY
I like to have insurance
policies wherever I go.
The Tara thing doesn’t
even begin to scratch the
surface.

KYLE
Is that right?

SALLY
It most certainly is. Keep
pushing me, Kyle. And only
then will you find out what
will happen.

KYLE
Is that a threat?

SALLY
It’s a promise, Bucko.

SALLY THEN LOOKS DOWN AT HER

WRIST WATCH.

SALLY (CON’T)
Oh -- look at that. I guess
I don’t have time to hear
you say your peace about me
meeting with Tara after all.
I have to go have a business
lunch with Lauren. Toodles.

SALLY THEN WALKS OUT OF THE ROOM,

SHUTTING THE DOOR BEHIND HER. WE

FRUSTRATION.

IS LOOKING THROUGH A FILE.

ASHLEY
Well, I’m very impressed
by what you have proposed
here. But do you think
that Victoria will go for
such a thing?

VICTOR
I’m sorry that I didn’t
make myself clear to you.
What I’ve proposed to you
has nothing to do with
Victoria -- or even Newman
Enterprises.

ASHLEY
Oh.

ASHLEY TAKES HER READING GLASSES

OFF, AND LOOKS OVER AT VICTOR IN
A CURIOUS MANNER.

ASHLEY (CON’T)
Victor, in this file, you’ve
outlined what will happen if
Ashland Locke sells his media
company to you. Therefore, I
am completely confused on how
this has nothing to do with
Newman Enterprises. And I’m
also confused as to why you
(CONTINUED)
32.
need me in Genoa City to be
the media company’s beauty
blog editor. I can certainly
do that job remotely. That
is, if I choose to take on
such a thing. I’m very busy
with Jabot, ever since Jack
and I merged our companies
into one.

VICTOR
I’m well aware. Look, allow
me to explain a few things.

ASHLEY
Please do.

VICTOR
I want to keep Cyaxares a
Genoa City based company,
if Ashland Locke has the
sense to sell it to me. I
know that your brother
wants the company. However,
this is me and you talking
right now.

ASHLEY
I understand, Victor.
Continue -- please.

VICTOR
Ashley, the beauty blogging
industry is where the money
is at these days in the
cosmetics world. And I feel
that with your management,
Cyaxares cosmetics blogging
division could be a key
player in such a world.
33.
ASHLEY
I won’t argue with you there.
As someone who has worked in
this industry their whole life,
I know exactly how to stay on
top of trends.

VICTOR
I know you do. Anyway, I am
helping someone build an
empire by acquiring Cyaxares.
Victoria and I don’t see
eye-to-eye on a lot of things
lately. That is why this is
not an offer from Newman
Enterprises. Furthermore, I
can’t think of anyone else
who could run this division
so successfully. And I’m
sure that the person I’m
working with on acquiring
Ashland’s media company
would agree with me on that
fact.

ASHLEY
Victor, damn. You know, you
have me almost completely
sold.

VICTOR
Is that right?

ASHLEY
Yeah.

VICTOR
Very well then. But why is
this not a done deal yet?
34.
ASHLEY
Because, you haven’t told
me who this person is that
you’re working with. Who
would I truly be working
for? Is it Nicholas?

VICTOR
(SIGHS)
No.

ASHLEY
Oh my God. It’s Adam, isn’t
it?

VICTOR
Yes.

ASHLEY
Victor, how could you ever
possibly think that I would
want to work for the man
who brought me -- and you
so much heartache? After
everything that happened
with Faith -- I --

VICTOR
I know. I know. It caused
us a lot of trauma and
pain. Though Adam would
be the main owner of the
company, should Ashland
pick us, I would make
sure that you worked for
me -- and with me. I
would not let Adam
interfere with the beauty
blogging division.
35.
ASHLEY
Would you honestly be able
to make such a promise to
me?

VICTOR
Yes.

ASHLEY
(SIGHS)
Okay -- I believe you.

VICTOR
Thank you.

ASHLEY
When do you need an answer
by?

VICTOR
Ashland is making his
decision today. Therefore,
I would need your decision
by tomorrow night at the
latest.

ASHLEY
That is if you win.

VICTOR
(CHUCKLES)
Don’t you by now? I always
win.

old you get, I will always
go above and beyond for
you. You’re my daughter.
I love you.

VICTORIA
I love you too.

NIKKI
I’m just glad that you let
me take you home. I feel as
though what you’re going
through, shouldn’t be on
display for the whole
office to see. This talk
that you had with Billy --
well -- you need time to
truly think about it.
37.
VICTORIA
I guess you’re right.

NIKKI
I always am.

VICTORIA
You know, you never did
answer my question from
earlier.

NIKKI
I’m actually glad that you
brought that up. I’ve been
thinking about it for a
long time now.

VICTORIA
Have you really?

NIKKI
Yes.

VICTORIA
And -- ?

NIKKI
And, I think I finally
have an answer for you.
I know exactly what you
should do in your life
right now.

VICTORIA
Please, tell me. I need
some advice, mom.
38.
NIKKI
Sweetheart, do you remember
when you were a little girl,
and I disapproved of your
father being committed to
Ashley?

VICTORIA
Yeah. You used to call her
a witch in my bedtime stories.
Very classy, mom.

NIKKI
Wasn’t always my finest
hour. I can admit that
now, however. I can admit
it because not only is it
ancient history, but I
also realize now how truly
foolish it was of me to
do such a thing.

VICTORIA
What are you getting at,
mom?

NIKKI
Darling, I’m gonna say
something that might hurt
a little. However, I’m
coming from a place of
love. I have noticed that
when you dig up excuses
to go see Billy, it always
involves the children.

VICTORIA
(DEFENSIVE)
That’s not --
39.
NIKKI
(CALMING)
Yes, it is.

VICTORIA LETS OUT A SIGH AND THEN

SITS ON THE COUCH. NIKKI THEN GOES
TO SIT NEXT TO HER.

NIKKI (CON’T)
I think that you view Lily
as your Ashley. When in
truth, things don’t need
to be this way. And they
shouldn’t be this way,
Victoria. Now I have
questioned you many times
on if you still have
feelings for Billy. And
I think you do. I think
that they’re warranted.
But he has moved on.

VICTORIA
Why are you treating me
like I’m some fragile
girl who thinks she
should pine for a man
that’ll never want her?
I’m not in high school,
mom. I know what I want
out of life.

NIKKI
And I’m proud of you for
knowing that, Victoria.
But, you’re missing the
point. I’m trying to
teach you a very valuable
piece of my history when
it comes to a very similar
(CONTINUED)
40.
situation. I know that it
can be hard -- even painful
to let someone move on. Yet
much like Billy is doing,
it is time for you to move
on as well. You have to see
what is out there for you.
You have to go find yourself
again.

VICTORIA
You think I’m that lost?

NIKKI
I don’t think you’re lost.
I just think that you’ve
been misguided. But I also
think that you still know
your true direction. So --
go on. Move on. Start the
next chapter of your life,
sweetheart. And don’t let
the past ever hold you back.

ACT FOUR
SCENE ONE
CHANCELLOR COMMUNICATIONS - BILLY’S OFFICE

LILY IS NOW GONE FROM THE

ROOM. BILLY IS SITTING AT
HIS DESK, LOOKING AT HIS
LAPTOP. THERE’S A KNOCK AT
THE DOOR.

BILLY
(CALLING OUT)
Come in!

JILL ENTERS. BILLY LOOKS UP.

JILL
Hello!

BILLY
Mom, hey.

BILLY STANDS, GOES TO JILL.

THE TWO HUG.

BILLY (CON’T)
It’s good to see you.

JILL
Good to see you too.

BILLY
I didn’t think we were
meeting until tomorrow
morning at Society.
42.
JILL
That’s what I had planned.
However, I had to weasel my
way out of an encounter. So,
that’s why I’m glad you’re
still here.

BILLY
Oh? Who did you bump into?
One of your ex-husbands?

JILL
Ha, ha, ha. It was in
fact Ashland Locke.

BILLY
Wow.

JILL
Yes. I had stopped at The
Grand Phoenix for a drink.
And -- there he was.

BILLY
Do you know if he was busy
making his choice about who
will get his media company?

JILL
Before I walked up, and
before he bought me a
drink, I would say so. I
hope that you and Lily
get it. I really do,
darlin’. And I think you
might.

BILLY
From your lips to God’s
ears.
43.
JILL
Certainly. So -- enough
about business for now.
We have the whole morning
to talk about that. I
want you to catch me up
on what has been going
on -- in your life
particularly. How have
you and Lily been doing?

BILLY
We’ve been good. Minus
one obstacle that is.

JILL
Oh? Do tell.

BILLY
Well, Victoria is in the
way constantly. And things
are getting a little --
complicated, to say the
least.

JILL
Why do you say that? Does
Victoria want you back?

BILLY
Apparently.

JILL
Wow. You know that I always
was a huge cheerleader for
the two of you. However,
after all this time, hasn’t
that ship sailed?

BILLY
Many a time.
44.
JILL
What are you gonna do?

BILLY
Nothing. Victoria and I
had a long talk about
her revealing her true
feelings. I respect them,
of course. Yet, I am in
love with Lily. And I’m
not gonna toss her aside
for Victoria. I have said
my peace on the situation.
Victoria just needs to
learn that I’ve gone in a
different direction in my
life.

JILL
I know you have. I’m just
curious as to if Victoria
will take what you said to
her to heart.

BILLY
I hope that she does.

REENTERING THE ROOM. NIKKI
HAS NOW LEFT THE HOME.
VICTORIA IS DRESSED IN
PAJAMAS, AND DRINKING A
CUP OF TEA. SHE THEN WALKS
OVER TO THE COUCH. BUT,
BEFORE SHE SITS DOWN, THERE
IS A KNOCK AT THE DOOR. SHE
THEN PUTS THE TEACUP ON THE
COFFEE TABLE AND GOES TO THE
DOOR, OPENING IT.

VICTORIA
Lily -- hi.

LILY
Hi, Victoria.

VICTORIA
What are you doing here?

LILY
Billy told me what you
said to him. I also
know that he has said
his peace. But I need
to say mine. Because
I am so done with you
getting in the way of
my relationship.

SCENE ONE
NEWMAN RANCH

ASHLEY AND VICTOR ARE NOW

STANDING FROM THE COUCH.
ASHLEY IS COLLECTING HER
THINGS.

VICTOR
Please, take that file
with you. I want you to
hold that proposal close.

ASHLEY
I most certainly will.

AS ASHLEY PICKS UP THE FILE FROM

THE COFFEE TABLE, NIKKI ENTERS
THE ROOM.

NIKKI
Oh -- Ashley.

ASHLEY
Hello, Nikki.

NIKKI
How are you?

ASHLEY
I’m good. You?

NIKKI
Doing well.

ASHLEY
I was just headed out.
Have a goodnight, you
two.
47.
NIKKI
You too.

ASHLEY SMILES POLITELY AND WALKS

OUT OF THE ROOM.

NIKKI (CON’T)
What was Ashley doing here?

VICTOR
I had a business proposition
for her concerning Cyaxares.
Should Adam and I win the
deal, I would like Ashley to
come home to Genoa City to
run the company’s beauty
blogging division.

NIKKI
Wow. A whole division of
Cyaxares. That’s quite the
proposition.

VICTOR
I hope she likes it.

NIKKI
I do too. I know Ashley
is the best person to
run such a division.

VICTOR
I couldn’t agree more.
So, how was your night,
my baby?

NIKKI
It was good. Everything is
good at the company. Well,
everything except for one
thing --
48.
VICTOR
What do you mean?

NIKKI
Uh -- Billy and Victoria
had a fight today.

VICTOR
What? That punk continues
to hurt her.

NIKKI
Victor, that’s the thing.
It wasn’t all his fault.
And I even had to get
Victoria to that
realization. She loves
him, Victor. She wants
him back. However, he
doesn’t feel the same
way. And he certainly
let such a thing be
known to her. And that
ultimately broke her
heart.

SHARON IS SITTING NEXT TO REY’S

BEDSIDE. HE IS LAYING IN THE BED,
THEY ARE HOLDING HANDS.

REY
You didn’t have to bring
me here, you know?

SHARON
I most certainly did. You
passed out on the couch,
Rey. You scared me so, so
much.

REY
It was just a panic attack,
Sharon. Nothing more. I’ll
be just fine.

SHARON
We had a very taxing day.
This panic attack that
you had wasn’t just brought
on out of nowhere. There
was a reason for it. We
had to endure more than
most today. It was clearly
too much for you to handle.
And I don’t mean that in a
harsh way.

REY
You’re just calling it
like you see it.

SHARON
Yes.
50.
REY
Elena said that she’ll
be sending in my
discharge papers within
the hour.

SHARON
Good. I’ll get the car
pulled around shortly.
And then we can go home.

REY
No, Sharon.

SHARON
Oh? Do you want to stop
by Lola’s apartment and
see her for a moment? I
think that’s a great idea.
She could certainly calm
you a little.

REY
No. I don’t want to see
Lola. I don’t want to go
to our house. I want to
go to the GCAC -- and I
want to get a room. For
me. And me alone.

TARA
I still can’t believe
that you went with them.
I for sure thought that
you were gonna go with
Victoria Newman.

ASHLAND
I thought about it. But --
she just missed the mark
on a few things.

TARA
Anything specific?

ASHLAND
Well --

TAKE IT UP WITH ASHLAND BECOMING

DEEP IN HIS THOUGHTS. HE CAN’T
SAY WHAT HE WANTS TO, TO HIS
WIFE.

(FLASHBACK TO EPISODE #12,066)

ASHLAND
You know, I have something
else scheduled shortly. But
I am interested in hearing
more of what you have to say.
What are your plans for dinner?
52.
VICTORIA
I’m open to the idea of
dinner. If you tell me
what type of cuisine you
and your wife enjoy. I
might recommend some
restaurants that suit
your taste.

(END OF FLASHBACK)

ASHLAND COMES OUT OF HIS

THOUGHTS, SMILING AND TURNED
AWAY FROM TARA. HE THEN LOOKS
OVER AT HER.

ASHLAND
You know, I actually do
not want to think about
Victoria Newman -- or any
other Newman at the moment.
Victor and Adam are going
to be the owners of my
company come morning. And
because the deal is closed,
I would love nothing more
than to make love to you --
all -- (KISSES TARA) night
-- (KISSES TARA) long.

TARA
I would love that.

ASHLAND
I have to make a quick
telephone call. And then
I’m all yours.

MAN
(OVER THE PHONE)
Hello, Ashland.

ASHLAND
(ON THE PHONE)
Do you have a moment?

MAN
(OVER THE PHONE)
Most certainly. What
can I do for you?

ASHLAND
(ON THE PHONE)
Well, as one of my
business associates, I
just thought you should
know that I have reached
a decision on who gets
my media company.

MAN
(OVER THE PHONE)
Very good. Who won?
54.
ASHLAND
(ON THE PHONE)
Victor and Adam Newman.

MAN
(OVER THE PHONE)
Wow. There’s two names
that I haven’t heard in
a long time.

ASHLAND
(ON THE PHONE)
I thought you might say
that.

MAN
(OVER THE PHONE)
Anyway, what does this
mean for me?

ASHLAND
(ON THE PHONE)
Well, in the final deal
that I’m going to have
Victor and Adam sign,
I am going to list one
mandate -- and that is
that you get to continue
working in my media’s
financial news division.

MAN
(OVER THE PHONE)
Thank you.

ASHLAND
(ON THE PHONE)
So, are you ready to
pack a bag and come
here to Genoa City?
55.
MAN
(OVER THE PHONE)
I most certainly am.

ASHLAND
(ON THE PHONE)
Good. I’ll take care of
the arrangements.
